Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Contract Administrator to join a construction and engineering organization in the Baltimore, MD area. This role has a flexible hybrid schedule with some local travel required.
Responsibilities for the Contract Administrator include:
- Oversee and manage the construction administration phase for multiple projects.
- Direct Construction Administration activities and ensure compliance with construction documents.
- Establish project procedures, resolve issues, review budgets, and handle necessary certifications.
- Initiate document revisions and project reviews; process change orders.
- Receive and distribute test reports.
- Analyze and respond to all forms of construction documents.
- Prepare punch-lists and handle close-out procedures; perform post-construction services and investigations as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients and contractors.
- Act as the Prime Consultant, managing sub-consultants, presiding over construction meetings, and representing the owner.
- Process contractor questions and provide professional technical solutions.
- Initiate document revisions to communicate solutions.
- Process change order proposals by justifying, estimating, and reporting to the client.
- Support the commissioning process through witnessing and problem-solving.
- Provide peer and constructability reviews of design development drawings
Qualifications for the Contracts Administrator include:
- 3+ years of experience in construction contracts administration is required at minimum, preferably in the AEC/MEP field.
- Licensure or tradesmen accreditation within any relevant CSI Division (CSI, ATA, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required, Associate's degree or technical training is preferred.
Compensation for the Contract Administrator includes:
- Salary Range: approximately $85,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience
