Contract Administrator, Senior

Key Role:

Provide full life cycle strategic contracts administration leadership and support to DoD and intelligence community (IC) clients. Negotiate and administer contracts with the US government and subcontracts with large and small business prime contractors across the breadth of contract types. Negotiate teaming and non-disclosure agreements and OCI and relationship development and management with the client's acquisition teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with current contract administration and negotiation in the DoD or intelligence community

  • Experience with resolving OCI issues

  • Experience in establishing agreements with small business prime contractors and the SBA's small business subcontractor rule

  • Ability to successfully support a high-volume, diverse workload and demanding clients

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree or 8+ years of experience in contract administration in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent analytical skills

  • Possession of excellent client relationship, development, and management skills with internal and external clients

  • MA or MS degree

SMORS is a high-visibility indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that operates in a dynamic environment rich with competing priorities, multiple customers, and varied contract types and fee structures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across functional areas to ensure mission requirements are met. General Responsibilities: Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Ability Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories. Demonstrates skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation. * Must be knowledgeable of the Department of Defense contracting environment and have direct experience in FAR and DFARS-based contracts. * Must have experience with various contract types, which may include CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FFP, and T&M. * Must have experience using Microsoft Excel to collect, monitor, and display data Problem Solving Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Discretion/Latitude Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Virtually self-supervisory. Impact Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the organization. Liaison Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree with 15 years of related work experience or Master's Degree with 13 years of related work experience.
