Our fast-paced, sales office is seeking a Contract Administrator at our office in Beaverton, OR.

Essential Job Duties

  • Invoicing customers

  • Answering phone calls with excellent customer service

  • General sales support including maintaining spreadsheets

  • Coordinate with others to ensure proper billing and collection of contractual revenue

  • Assist with miscellaneous tasks as assigned

  • Analyze sales contracts to properly invoice customers

  • A highly multi-task oriented position with several projects in process at all times

  • Maintain detailed and organized files

  • Develop and prepare regular reports on the status of contracts

  • Track customer payments and deadlines

Qualifications

  • Task-oriented mindset

  • Excel, Word, and spreadsheet proficient

  • Professional phone etiquette and outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy

  • Strong ability to prioritize, managing both time and tasks

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

  • Attention to detail is a must

VIEW JOBS 11/26/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-24T00:00 <p>Overview</p><p>We are seeking a contract Accountant to perform the accounting close, apply GAAP knowledge to properly record transactions in the general ledger, analyze variances and help streamline accounting processes for our high growth, private equity backed business. This position will also play a key role in the annual audit and support other accounting functions.</p><p>This position will report to the VP, Controller and is open to U.S.-based remote contractors. We are looking for two contract accountants, one position can plan for 30 hours per week and the other can plan for 40 hours per week. The contract duration is expected to last 2-3 months.</p><p>What You'll Be Accountable For</p><ul><li><p>Perform the monthly financial close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards and analytics for various accounts in accordance with organizational policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).</p></li><li><p>Perform monthly variance analysis, including research and documentation. Resolve discrepancies between the GL and supporting documentation.</p></li><li><p>Prepare payroll entries and work closely with the Payroll Manager to reconcile payroll and benefits related accounts.</p></li><li><p>Monitor banking transactions, perform analysis, book daily bank activity into ledgers (receipts and disbursements, etc.) and perform bank reconciliations.</p></li><li><p>Maintain integrity of financial statements and adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well documented, accurate and timely financial reporting.</p></li><li><p>Provide support for the annual financial audit, including preparing audit schedules and responding to questions and requests from external auditors.</p></li><li><p>Proactively review current procedures and processes, identify areas for improvement and suggest ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness via the implementation of new tools, systems, and automation of accounting processes.</p></li><li><p>Assist with various projects and special assignments, including new system implementations, research, analysis and documentation related to accounting treatment of proposed transactions.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to ensure timely and accurate completion of key reporting activities.</p></li></ul><p>Key Success Indicators</p><ul><li><p>Accuracy: You maintain daily and monthly close processes and controls to ensure financial statements are accurate, of high integrity and in compliance with GAAP.</p></li><li><p>On-Time Delivery: You ensure that deadlines are met. You prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and complete the monthly close review process in a timely fashion for decision making.</p></li><li><p>Data Integrity: You perform accounts reconciliations and resolve differences to ensure complete and accurate reporting.</p></li><li><p>Scalability: You take an active role in contributing ideas and seeking ways to improve accounting processes and procedures.</p></li></ul><p>Your Work DNA</p><ul><li><p>You have strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understand how all the pieces fit together and affect one another.</p></li><li><p>You love growth-stage companies, possess a scrappy, hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves style, and embrace change.</p></li><li><p>You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy working with multiple cross functional disciplines.</p></li></ul><p>Your Background</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or CPA</p></li><li><p>Public Accounting experience is a plus</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP.</p></li><li><p>Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Highly detail-oriented in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to achieve results.</p></li><li><p>Self-starter with the ability to work independently, communicate progress and execute effectively.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite or Intacct is a plus).</p></li><li><p>Advanced proficiency in Excel.</p></li></ul><p>Work Environment</p><p>Candidates near downtown Portland, OR, have the option to work from our beautiful open-concept office.
