What You'll Get to Do:

You will provide acquisition support services to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Procurement Office. MSFC is essential to human space exploration, has a reputation for solving complex problems and today is building the Space Launch System in preparation for a human journey to Mars.

More About the Role:

As a Contract Administrator you will:

  • You will provide support for the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals, awards and modifications;

  • Assist with a variety of administrative matters including maintenance of financial and a wide variety of other records; accuracy and completeness verification of statistical reports; and management and adjustment of complaints; and

  • Provide advisory support for key issues, problems, opportunities, and challenges facing the acquisition process. This effort requires performance in a manner that is fully consistent with applicable statutes and regulations, consistent with national policies as they relate to acquisition.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;

  • Up to two (2) years of relevant experience;

  • Experience using Government contract writing software tools; and

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools.

These Qualifications would Be Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of FAR part 12;

  • Working knowledge of FAR part 15;

  • Experience with the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS); and

  • Experience using SAP, FPDS-NG, Procurement for Public Sector.

VIEW JOBS 3/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-15T00:00 Position Description In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space Systems Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs including HLS that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers, and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024. Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented NASA Insight Manager to join a diverse, highly skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, and scientific solutions. The NASA Insight Manager will support the Dynetics HLS team with primary responsibility to ensure that NASA's expectations related to program insight are understood and facilitated in a timely manner. The selected individual will serve as the focal point for coordinating with the NASA customer to ensure sufficient insight into the HLS program's technical progress. The Insight Manager will report directly to the HLS Program Manager while serving as the liaison/coordinator between NASA and the Dynetics HLS team. The Insight Manager will coordinate access to controlled facilities, provide a schedule of upcoming reviews and meetings, maintain contact lists of Dynetics team and Government personnel, and will be responsible for addressing concerns raised by NASA about insight type, level, and processes. The individual will interface with department leadership and project managers; mechanical designers; and component, test, safety, and quality engineers across the HLS team. IND2 Basic Qualifications Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university. Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years of experience with managing and executing technical programs or matrixed organizations within an integrated product team construct. Candidate must have in-depth familiarity or direct management experience with detailed understanding of NASA organization, personnel, and processes. Candidate must be able to write clear, concise and comprehensive technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplinary team and customer stakeholders. Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment both verbally and in writing. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently. Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area. Other Qualifications Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
