Freese and Nichols seeking a Contract Administrator in Fort Worth, Texas. As Contract Administrator, you will prepare architecture and engineering (A/E) industry contracts and drive internal review process for contract documents using firm-developed application.

  • Ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of the contract and collaborating with authorized reviewers and signers to address comments and revisions prior to contract execution

  • E-filing and maintaining contract documents and relevant correspondence

  • Completing Form 1295s

  • Issuing Certificates of Insurance

  • Compiling and tracking Supplier Minority, Women, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MWDBE) Certifications


  • High school degree

  • 3+ years' experience in contract administration

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel and Word

  • Skills to detect errors and inconsistencies to minimize contractual risks and corporate liability

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with vendors, clients, and employees throughout the organization to build long-distance, positive relationships

  • Critical-thinking skills, attention to detail, positivity, initiative, and the capability to work independently


  • Experience in the Architecture and Engineering (A/E) industry

  • Experience in federal contract administration

  • Knowledge of the FAR

The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Contract Administrator position is responsible for ensuring that all contractual terms are processed and implemented in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with contractual provisions, company standards, guidelines and procedures. Position is responsible for reviewing, processing, analyzing and tracking agreements, amendments and/or contractual correspondence for the assigned asset group(s). Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Draft contracts, briefs and coordinating contracts, amendments, exhibits, and correspondence for specific types of agreements, ensuring all documentation is properly handled, routed and filed. * Process contract assignments, including working with legal and customers to ensure proper documentation is obtained and communicated internally. * Ensure contracts have been properly authorized and all terms and conditions are accurately captured in company systems, including setting up new meters and working with Scheduling for nomination purposes. * Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley standards as they apply to necessary documentation and tracking of contract preparation, processing, execution and reporting. * Act as primary contact for external customers to handle routine contract issues and questions, respond to requests from internal customers, and ensure all appropriate actions are taken and/or communicated to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner. * Interact and partner effectively with various departments including commercial, legal, land, scheduling, measurement, and accounting departments. * Participate in special projects and complete ad-hoc reporting as directed. * Exercise initiative and knowledge of contract and transaction impacts of specific language, clauses and requirements. * Ensure contract escalations are executed and accounted for properly. The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business-related field is required. * Experience in preparing and administering contracts in the oil and gas industry is preferred. * Experience proofreading, auditing, and correcting documents and ensuring accuracy of final documents is required. * Understanding and knowledge of contract terms, administrative procedures, concepts, terminology and standards is required. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word and Excel is required. * Quorum experience preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the company. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. * Strong organization skills. * Ability to work well in a team environment. * Self motivated with ability to work independently with minimum supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Ability to be flexible with changing priorities.
