And our work depends on a Contracts Administrator Expert joining our team to support the Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Combatant Command (CCMD) Business Areas within the Defense Division.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Contracts Administrator Expert supporting the very visible SOF and CCMD programs, you will be trusted to represent GDIT and lead our programs to success.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Contracts Lead managing at least one of the GDIT enterprise programs.
Contracts Lead on competitive proposal opportunities in excess of $100M.
Guiding the Program and proposal teams on contract requirements.
Working with Teaming Partners and Government customers to develop a smooth transition between responsibilities.
Negotiating task orders and working with Mission Partners to ensure their needs are addressed inside the contract vehicle.
Mentor early career professionals and lower level colleagues via a Program or Business Area Lead role
Ability to actively engage and interact with Business Development, Proposal Management and Capture Management to develop strategic paths to win new business while maintaining key business.
Through understanding of Government Furnished Property (GFP), use, and contractual management thereof.
Ensures internal contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions and compliance with designated management objectives.
Provides advice, counsel and interpretation of contracts and acquisition requirements to various leaders on a daily basis.
Negotiates contracts, including price, terms, and conditions, and reviews subsequent contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to execution.
Serves as point of contact and trusted advisor with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems related to proposal and/or Sector contracts.
Reviews requests for proposals (competitive) and participates in proposal color reviews to include providing input on pricing and scheduling strategies, coordination of requirements and proposal risk assessments.
Engages agency contracting executive counterparts to develop and cultivate relationships.
Reviews and approves solicited and unsolicited proposals for submission to customers.
Reviews and negotiates various types of agreements.
Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations.
Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
Secret Clearance - Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
10-15 years of related experience in contract administration
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding time management skills
Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing
contracts, including FAR and DFAR
Experience working classified programs and classified proposals
Ability to work independent of management oversite
Ability to tactically and strategically develop contractual solutions to mitigate risk in
competitive proposal offerings
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
