The Six Sigma Specialist responsibilities include developing and administering the Six Sigma (DMAIC-Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) process improvement system. DMAIC utilizes data to drive problem solutions to their root cause(s) and ensures improvement implementation through a control plan to retain the gains long term.
The specialist will apply knowledge of Six Sigma policies and practices to develop, document, maintain and improve processes and procedures. He/she will apply knowledge of Six Sigma policies and governmental regulations to develop and meet long-range customer expectations, acting as agent/designee for the customer, to meet contractual and other requirements. The specialist will complete Six Sigma projects (facilitate teams that work on Six Sigma projects), build Six Sigma curriculum, and refine and teach Six Sigma theory, principles, and tools (i.e.
Central Limit Theorem, Hypothesis Testing, Correlation Analysis, Design of Experiments, Regression Modeling, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), etc.). He/she will mentor Six Sigma candidates specifically at Green Belt and Black Belt levels. The specialist will take the science of probability statistics and apply it to process management/improvement. He/she will statistically leverage the critical variables impacting customer requirements and provide education and coaching in Six Sigma processes and techniques and the Quality Management System.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
3+ years of Industry (Aerospace Preferred) experience.
