Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across Schweid & Sons' food manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for process enhancements, driving efficiency improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and project management, focusing on the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Continuous Improvement Strategy:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

• Identify key areas for improvement in production processes, quality control, and operational efficiency.

2.Process Optimization:

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.

• Utilize lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.

• Implement best practices and standardized processes to ensure consistent quality and productivity.

3.Project Management:

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute improvement projects from inception to completion.

• Develop project plans, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively.

• Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely delivery of results.

4.Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect and analyze data to measure process performance and identify trends.

• Create and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports to track continuous improvement initiatives.

• Communicate findings and progress to senior management and stakeholders.

5.Training and Development:

• Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement methodologies.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and feedback.

• Mentor and coach team members to build internal capabilities for ongoing improvement efforts.

6.Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all continuous improvement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

• Promote a safe working environment by incorporating safety considerations into process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or process optimization within the food manufacturing industry.

• Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects and driving operational excellence.

• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective project management and leadership abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
