Our Client is the largest manufacturer of their product in the United States and it was founded in 1895. Since the construction of a new facility in 1998 most of their production has been automated. Position Summary:

We are searching for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager in the NE Texas area. As the CI Manager, you will lead Our Client’s Lean Manufacturing journey as they create transformational change in a turnaround assignment, developing solutions for process improvement to optimize material flow, minimize waste, and implement accountability and escalation systems. The responsibilities include facilitating and leading the continuous improvement process.

You will drive the team to understand waste through Value Stream Mapping, create a succinct vision for future state, and facilitate transformation review cadences to clearly communicate and monitor progress across the organization with clear milestone and KPI tracking. This role provides operational site support and works with our Plant Manager. Responsibilities: Identify and drive improvement opportunities in productivity, material consumption, other operation expenses, quality, safety, and space utilization by leading Kaizen Events, 5S, Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, and other CI efforts.

Develop and maintain both short and long-term Continuous Improvement Strategy. Act as a change agent, systematically driving the use of Lean for continuous improvement and change throughout the plant. Identify and deploy Lean best practices within the plant, actively develop and improve the focus improvement function and discipline by sharing best practices and projects with peers at other sites.

Coaches and mentors' employees on the practical application of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Develops, communicates, and implements key metrics to monitor progress and effectiveness of process improvement initiatives. Responsible for managing plant data to identify impactful business opportunities and drive OEE performance.

Key member of plant safety steering committee primarily focused on identifying risk reduction opportunities; leading teams; and ownership of a safety audit section. Extensive use of advanced problem solving and troubleshooting to significantly impact plant improvement projects and action plans. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.

Ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence both hourly and salaried employees to embrace it, and lead the change initiative. Requires high level of plant floor presence to establish extensive knowledge of processes and opportunities for improvement. Engaging employees at all levels in identifying solutions.

Must be able to present relatively complex continuous improvement concepts effectively to diverse groups ranging from hourly production employees to leadership team members. Utilize lean concepts and methodologies, evaluate their application, and make recommendations for improvements. They are looking for the following abilities and skills:

Ensure a safe work environment for all employees, in collaboration with the EHS Manager, Drive and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Science or related field from an accredited institution Possesses a Lean Certification or 5 years of related Lean/Toyota Production System Principles experience 3years' experience working in a manufacturing setting 2 years of leadership / supervisory experience 4 years experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing/Operations, Continuous Improvement, and/or Manufacturing Engineering Minimum three (3) years' hands-on experience applying Lean tools (5S, Standard Work, Set Up Reduction, VSM, TPM, Lean Material Flow) in a manufacturing environment. Minimum three (3) years' experience managing/leading others in a manufacturing setting.

Minimum three (3) years' experience organizing and leading Kaizen events utilizing principles of the Toyota Production System (TPS). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Compensation: Base Salary, DOE, between $80-100K DOE.
