About the Position

Key to success in this position is the ability to work within the sites/networks at all levels utilizing a very "hands on" approach to creating value and buy-in as the coach and mentor for the Kenco Operating System (KOS). For Kenco, the ultimate goal when pursuing the Kenco Operating System model is cultural transformation through the integration of operational excellence principles across the enterprise and its value streams to create a complete, systemic view, leading to consistent achievement of results. This includes the cross functional activities of: Lean, Work Measurement & Accountability, Six Sigma, Quality, Financial Management, Training and Project Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Industrial/Manufacturing) Operations, Manufacturing or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Lean/Industrial Manufacturing with demonstrated results

  • Lean Bronze Certification and/or Green/Black Belt Certification

Req's: Bachelor Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, or Mechanical engineering, or foreign equivalent. In lieu of Bachelor Degree, will accept completion of 4 years of post-secondary education with major or concentration in same. 1 year of experience in a production technician position with an automotive OEM or Tier-1 chassis supplier involving assembly operations for chassis suspension systems; experience can be gained through training or internships. 1 year of experience with each of the following: utilizing MES software to modify recipes and poka yoke mechanisms; utilizing AutoCAD software to create drawings of automotive manufacturing facilities; developing method-based time studies to improve the performance of automotive production lines; utilizing FlexSim software to plan improvements to automotive production processes; resolving manufacturing problems due to component handling, ergonomics, and equipment issues on assembly lines; developing and improving processes for assembly work stations utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
