The Global Tool Unit (GTU) is a part of ITW's Construction Segment. The GTU innovates, develops, and manufactures best-in-class Power Fastening Systems for the global construction market. Our highly differentiated tools are specified to be used in a variety of applications including wood framing, wood trim, and steel to concrete installations.

Summary:
We are looking for a positive professional that has the ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing setting. Together with the Operations Team, this position will influence and execute ITW Toolbox projects, safety initiatives, and overall process improvements. They should have a proven track record in driving actions that achieve results in key areas of the business including safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
Primary Responsibilities:
Together with the Operations staff, lead safety, quality, delivery, cost (SQDC) initiatives through employee involvement and use of the ITW toolbox.
Demonstrate visible continuous improvement through effective application of ITW best practices (e.g. in-lining, 80/20, Front-to-back).
Utilize 80/20 in managing all aspects of the role.
Communicate the status of Toolbox projects, identifying barriers and recommended solutions.
Collaborate with production personnel and management to effectively support safety-related initiatives.
Demonstrate and encourage effective communication to personnel at all levels within the organization.
Lead ergonomic projects and optimization throughout the business.
Fully own milestones in project timelines; ensure on-time product delivery.
Display strong decision-making skills in a high-pressured environment.
Understand, maintain, and continually improve manufacturing/assembly processes as related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
Encourage employee ownership of operations, products, and processes.
Act as a coach/trainer for critical manufacturing/assembly processes.
