Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Description
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be pivotal in executing plant projects aimed at eliminating waste through meticulous data gathering, fostering employee engagement, and promoting innovative problem-solving. Your role will directly support the mission of enhancing employment and personal development opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. This includes improving accessibility, product quality, and employee safety while also reducing conversion costs. You will report to the Lean and Quality Manager and work collaboratively with various functional departments to prioritize and implement improvement projects. Your responsibilities will also include leading various Lean activities, developing and monitoring the Continuous Improvement Roadmap, and implementing Lean training programs.
Hard Skills
Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering; Production/Operations Management, or related field
Minimum of 3 years manufacturing/operations experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods and advanced problem-solving techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing operation systems
Experience with MRP systems and Inventory Management
Soft Skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to engage and educate team members
Effective communication and collaboration across departments

This is a fully on-site position in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Work Environment
