The Coordinator II works in collaboration with the supervisor and constituencies to develop and implement relevant Continuing Education programs. This position is responsible for quality control, proofing of promotional material, understanding market segments, social media campaigns and ensuring courses are in keeping with established policies.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1.Facilitates ongoing market research to ensure all non-credit courses are relevant and meet the needs of our constituencies.
2.Partners with the Director of Continuing Education and external constituencies in growing the Continuing Education Program.
3.Assists in the preparation of promotional material for Continuing Education, including proofing of marketing material.
4.Ensures quality control and courses are in keeping with established policies.
5.Understands market segments and social media campaigns.
6.Continuously assesses market demand for high impact courses and programs.
7.Attends work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.
8.Guides and supports part-time instructors to ensure their needs are met in terms of technology, class materials, pay schedules and special needs. In addition, follows up with instructors to confirm dates/times/location of scheduled courses/programs.
9.Manages details related to recruiting new instructors and facilitate contracts according to established federal and MCC policies.
Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with instructors, site supervisors, public school personnel, non-profit professionals, and MCC personnel.
Assists the team with developing, scheduling, organizing, implementing, and evaluating classes for a variety of CE programs which may include, but not limited to: College for Kids, College for Teens, Do Space Initiatives, Culinary, Horticulture, Learning in Retirement, Traveling Classroom, International Community Travel, Professional Development and Enrichment Programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.Knowledge of continuing education best practices for successful program development and execution.
2.Knowledge of MCC Mission, customers, products, and procedures.
3.Knowledge of building courses in the Ellucian Colleague system.
4.Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel.
5.Knowledge of Continuing Education courses, programs and procedures.
6.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7.Ability to maintain confidentially.
8.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
9.Ability to work with minimal supervision to develop, coordinate, and implement programs.
Knowledge of evaluation processes
Knowledge of technology trends and embrace workplace change and efficiencies.
Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.

Required Qualification
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of full-time work-related experience in customer service and/or working directly in continuing education program development.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a higher education environment preferred.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate $50,710 Department Continuing Education Programming
