JOB DESCRIPTION - Continuing Education Coordinator/ Program Specialist
Department: Continuing Education and Community Outreach (CECO)
Position Title: Continuing Education Project Coordinator
Supervisor: Director of Continuing Education and Community Outreach
Purpose: Support the Director in all functions of the Department of Continuing Education and Community Outreach, which extends the services of the University to the community by providing quality non-credit programming, managing conferences and training for business and industry, and coordinating travel courses offered to students and the community and acts at the One Stop Operator.
Responsibilities:
Support the Director in all CECO Department duties
Manage communication (phone calls, emails, correspondence)
Organize appointments and maintain calendars
Develop and maintain filing systems and office policies
Manage office supplies and inventory
Maintain contact lists of students and partner companies
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Establish and maintain key relationships with workforce partners
Coordinate implementation of quality and continuous improvement principles
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies in service delivery
Facilitate capacity building within the system and partner agencies
Promote innovative methods and best practices in service delivery
Increase employer participation in Cenla Work Ready Network and NEP
Implement WDB strategic priorities and policy directives
Ensure partners provide services in accordance with WIOA regulations and policies
Coordinate development and implementation of formal referral processes
Create and maintain a community Resource Guide
Coordinate access to virtual resources across the parish
Assist in meeting and exceeding federal, state, and local performance measures
Perform continuous improvement activities for high-quality service
Participate in regular meetings with the Workforce Development Board Director
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing or related field required and a minimum of one year of marketing and/or business experience preferred
