JOB SUMMARY:
The MarCom Content Writer is responsible for producing engaging and informative written content across various platforms for the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences (CAFLS). Responsible for content creation, research, editing and proofreading stories to promote CAFLS. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

Content Creation and Storytelling:
Collaborates with team members and subject matter experts to produce stories, web copy, articles, multimedia content, speeches and other marketing materials in both digital and print media. Ensures content aligns with targeted audiences, University goals and objectives.

Research and Insights:
Conducts in-depth research to uncover stories, trends and insights relevant to CAFLS and its community. Transforms research findings into data-driven narratives and compelling storytelling pieces. Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in storytelling and content creation.

Editing and Proofreading:
Edits and proofreads written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency and adherence to grammatical standards and Clemson's style guide. Implements best practices for content optimization, including keyword integration, meta descriptions and formatting for readability and SEO.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected salary range: $ 45,530.00 - $ 60,000.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
