As a Content Strategist with expertise in writing for digital platforms including social media and the website you will be responsible for creating engaging and compelling long or short-form content across various platforms, optimizing our online presence for search engines, and developing and analyzing effective social media campaigns. You will collaborate with internal and external teams, including marketing, design, and analytics, to deliver strategic content that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.

The environment at SAIC is fast-paced and dynamic. In this role, you will have the ability to become a trusted advisor to all areas of the organization. And you will be working with a communications team that regularly tries to extend the limits of what is possible.

This role is remote with some required travel to the SAIC corporate office.

Responsibilities

• Craft compelling and high-quality written content for print, websites, and various digital platforms such as social media, including the development of engaging copy for marketing collaterals such as digital ads and email campaigns.

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand and implement content requirements and maintain consistency in messaging and tone.

• Conduct keyword research to identify relevant topics and optimize content for search engines.

• Research topics to produce engaging, easy-to-understand content on the SAIC website and social media platforms, considering relevant audiences.

• Monitor the industry for trending topics and make recommendations for new content development.

• Optimize existing content to be consistent with SAIC's branding standards as well as SEO trends and algorithm changes to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic.

• Write specifically for executive LinkedIn and social media advocacy platforms.

Analytics Reporting:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, SEO rankings, and social media performance.

• Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate results and propose actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and four (4) years or more of related experience

• Strong writing skills required.

• Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and proven track record in various writing styles; a solid command of AP Stylebook, proofreading and editing techniques a must.

• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to think critically to resolve problems with creative and effective solutions, and also demonstrate initiative and innovation in their work.

• Must be able to develop and maintain relationships within the organization to become a trusted advisor.

• Knowledge of social media platforms

• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, or other design software is preferred.

• Previous experience working as government consultant, a plus.

• Must be able to work independently and influence as a individual contributor.

• Must have high standards and be committed to delivering high quality communications.
