Content Strategist, Bank of America Experience Design

As a content strategist you will

Create visions, concepts, and sell partners on the great work the UX organization does. Be a brand evangelist optimizing for digital interfaces. Develop content strategy based on business goals and user needs optimized for consumption context. Collect and create content inventories from which new content can be created. Audit existing content to determine current performance and opportunities for improvement. Perform gap-analysis to discover room for improvement. Deliver best-fit copy for all types if interfaces and digital experiences. Develop ADA-compliant content solutions.

You're a person who (required skills)

  • 5+ years of content strategy and copywriting experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in English composition, communications, business, design, or related field.

  • A high level of proficiency with design tools, including the Adobe suite, Axure, and Sketch.

  • Working knowledge of software used by designers and project managers.

And you are a person who:

  • Is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and an intense focus on achieving results.

  • Collaborates effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships.

  • Is exceptional at problem-solving, issue resolution, and time management.

  • Embraces the opportunity to work side by side with other designers and partners in a studio context (not remote).

  • Is available to travel up to 20% of the time and is able to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.

You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills)

  • Master's degree with compensating experience.

  • Financial, digital agency, or similar industry experience.

We're seeking a content developer who can craft Informative, insightful and engaging investment content that addresses client concerns and is central to SSGA's marketing and communications activity. You will concentrate on developing core content assets across media types, with a particular focus on evolving our published work to meet the changing consumption patterns of our target institutional clients. The role will work closely with the global institutional channel marketers and investment teams to devise and build marketing assets to engage clients. Close collaboration with creative design, web production teams including user-experience, information architecture, and social-media specialists, and third-party vendors will be a critical component of the work. Key Responsibilities Content Generation * Develop marketing content across a range of media including sales literature, articles, whitepapers,, presentations, video, infographics, core website copy, landing pages, banner content, video and audio (scripted and unscripted) and email copy * Drive design thinking, creativity and a digital-first mindset in the production of core marketing assets * Manage end to end development of content from initiation through to editing and writing, approvals, production, compliance and publication * Support investment-team members through their own content-development and writing efforts using editorial disciplines. * Improve the effectiveness of marketing and branding efforts at all points in the sales funnel by drawing on content-marketing standard methodologies. Strategy * You will own the development and execution of content programs to align with channel-marketing plans, in close alignment with channel-marketing partners * You will contribute to the development of the short-, medium-, and long-range editorial agenda and calendar in collaboration with channel marketing, distribution and investment teams; work closely with channel, investment-management, and distribution partners to define the client concerns that will guide to guide the editorial agenda * You will be responsible for optimization of content for measurement and analysis, including consideration of engagement, PR, lead generation and SEO needs * You will contribute to ongoing brand repositioning (e.g., core messaging and asset development), web-development (e.g., taxonomy development), and operating performance-management efforts (e.g., content scoring, intake and prioritization, feedback and response, management reporting) Project Management * Project manage multiple marketing-content projects, people and deadlines * Maintain short-, medium-, and long-range editorial calendars * Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts and thought leadership teams to source material for content projects * Work with in-house and agency design teams to direct creative development, according to corporate brand guidelines * Ensure delivery of core assets on time and on budget as per the channel plan, coordinating with email, web, and channel marketing business partners Experience * 10+ years' experience in writing and development of marketing content assets * Degree qualified in marketing, communications, business and/or finance disciplines * Capacity to grasp investment concepts and develop effective messaging for institutional audiences * Excellent writing skills are essential along with the capacity to craft and edit engaging copy from short-form through to long-form, tailored to various media * Strong research and analysis skills are an advantage * Creativity – aptitude to reimagine and distill complex investment messages into concise and visually engaging content tools * Ability to lead multiple projects at a time and work to deadline * Excellent communicator skills and able to work with and influence key partners in a global business * You should be prepared to share a portfolio of work to demonstrate experience and you may be required to undertake a writing and editing test Location and travel This position is based in Boston.
