We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Specialist (U.S. Seeds) to join our U.S. Marketing Communications Team in Johnston, Iowa! This position is responsible for the coordination and creation of content for all U.S. Seeds brands while working closely with multiple stakeholders to execute across multiple channels.
What You'll Do:
The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining content to achieve overall organizational goals
Plan for the creation, approval, and deployment of content for a variety of tactics including emails, landing pages, websites, mobile push, etc., supporting partners in Marketing Communications and other key stakeholders
End-to-end execution, including setting editorial meetings, working with stakeholders to curate content, submitting content for upload and review, and using content performance metrics to provide content recommendations for optimization
Edit content for accuracy, voice, readability, comprehensiveness as well as consistency
Interview and engage key experts/customers/thought leaders for relevant and inspiring content
Facilitate content capture shoots, including managing agency partners as needed
Ensure compliance with web, mobile, email, and brand standards
Work in conjunction with our SEO Manager to optimize digital content for optimal search
Qualifications
Education:
What Skills You Need:
You possess three (3) or more years' experience in content development (web pages, email, case studies, videos, social) for digital channels
Experience in digital marketing project management
Knowledge of SEO best practices and optimization activities
Foundational understanding of U.S. agriculture
Creative thinker, self-starter, ability to take initiative, be proactive, and work independently
You are comfortable with technology and possess an excellent computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required
You are a creative thinker and self-starter, who can take initiative, be proactive, and work independently
You have high attention to detail can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent problem-solving skills
You are a superior communicator (writing, presentations, content creation, etc.…) and have proven experience working successfully with a variety of stakeholders
