Position Purpose:

Benchmark Education is seeking a Content Revision/Reprint Manager to work across Editorial and Production to manage the revisions and reprints of print and digital educational content in a wide range of formats.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and understand both the editorial and production workflows. Candidates need to be capable of working in a deadline-driven and team-oriented environment. This position requires excellent leadership skills to effectively collaborate cross-departmentally.

Experience with workflow software (e.g. Jira) and content management systems (e.g., Woodwing, K-4) is essential. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the content change documentation for all product lines, print and digital.

  • Work directly with editorial and production to ensure that content is prepared for digital or print publishing based on production schedules.

  • Create and maintain reprint records for all Benchmark Education titles.

  • Ensure that all versions and formats of reprint titles are managed and updated for consistency and that related components are addressed.

  • Work with editors to proactively identify legacy content that needs revisions prior to new printings.

  • Coordinate with legal department on rights/permissions issues related to reprint process

  • Manage printer proof process and workflow between editorial, marketing, production and procurement departments within the required timeframe

Qualifications:

  • College degree or relevant experience

  • 3-5 years experience in publishing operations

  • Highly organized, creative, flexible, and able to prioritize.

  • Thorough, accurate, and articulate verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to collaborate well with a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with workflow software (e.g. Jira) and content management systems (e.g., Woodwing, K-4)

  • Computer proficiency essential with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

  • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
