Responsibilities

Your mission will be to develop and deliver content to fans in order to provide the best possible collecting experience. We are looking for an experienced content product manager to set the content vision and manage the content roadmaps of one of our top mobile apps. You will have the opportunity to work on one of the biggest properties in entertainment.

  • Developing content strategy that maximizes effectiveness of app features to achieve revenue, engagement, and retention targets

  • Creating and managing content roadmap that outlines card release schedule and highlights major events

  • Overseeing the execution of daily content sales strategies including structure, pricing, and timing

  • Coordinating a team of content designers and producers to ensure timely and accurate delivery

  • Driving innovation in digital collectibles to excite and delight fans in new ways

Qualifications

  • Passion for major entertainment properties including Marvel, WWE, and The Walking Dead

  • 3-5 years experience in content development and production, marketing or operations. Mobile experience a plus

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a focus on data-driven decision making

  • Experience working with and managing cross-functional teams

  • Strong understanding of basic sales and marketing principles including cohort targeting, customer lifetime value, pricing strategy and inventory management

  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA or other task management tools a plus

  • Personal experience or understanding of collectibles and the collectibles market

Role Summary The Marketing Enablement Center is comprised of collaborative problem solvers who manage the people capacity-planning, processes and marketing technology required to deliver data-driven, targeted marketing programs that influence consumer and agent acquisition, expansion, retention and advocacy. The Marketing Enablement team challenge each other and are energized to enable connected, personalized experiences among our agents, consumers, and the brand to influence client growth.   Within the Marketing Enablement Center exists the Marketing Operations practice and the Content Ecosystem function. The Content Ecosystem Product Owner has a specialized focus in creative asset management, content management, measurement, and developing, leveraging, and maintaining metadata/taxonomy to promote asset discovery and dynamic publishing.  This position is accountable for the sequenced roadmap, prioritized backlog, and delivery of the content management product capabilities to enable efficiencies and optimal direct response in the content creation life-cycle, delivering orchestrated connected personalized digital channels featuring highly relevant, consistent, and coordinated brand content that builds and adjusts based on interaction data.   Key Responsibilities * Stakeholder needs assessment: partners with Product Managers within Marketing and organizational stakeholders to understand goals, vision, strategy, scope, use cases, and desired end-user experiences. * Technology and platform selection: conduct ongoing analysis of emerging and existing content platforms in the MarTech landscape.  Partners with technology and procurement to author RFPs and evaluate solutions and vendors to support enterprise platform selection (e.g., Digital Asset Management, Search, Content Marketing, Interactive Content, etc.). * Sequenced roadmap development: defines and maintains a documented, sequenced capability plan that demonstrates how investment in the Content Ecosystem is aligned with the organization’s strategies and initiatives to fuel our agent and recruiter productivity to drive client growth.  This includes contributing to strategic, MarTech growth initiatives as well as platform optimization efforts, architecting how the platform investments contribute to building a connected experience between consumers, agents, and the brand through a lean technology ecosystem.  Collaborate with platform vendors to influence base product roadmaps to meet New York Life’s goals. * Platform subject matter expert and solution design: acts as a subject matter expert that represents the Content Ecosystem toolset as part of the overall marketing digital capability infrastructure for strategic planning, cross platform interoperability, and business process re-engineering.  Leveraging marketing use cases and a deep understanding of asset management and content technologies, influence a conceptual solution design able to deliver the overall marketing technology solution which is defined by our MarTech architecture team.  Partner with technology resources and/or platform vendor resources to expand knowledge of the domain and to bring that knowledge into New York Life. * Funding and business case support: authors detailed business cases to secure funding for content management initiatives via opportunity sizing, initiative descriptions related to use of content management technology to demonstrate a reliable return on investment; develops key performance indicators to track project and initiative performance, business value, ROI and delivery against defined commitments. Suggests improvements to optimize business case results delivery. * Prioritized backlog, grooming, user story definition and Agile support: either individually, or in partnership with Product Managers and/or stakeholders, creates, maintains, and prioritizes a well-defined backlog with requirements for product features which can be easily understood by our Technology team. Proven ability to translate the backlog into feature and user story development that spans multiple agile program increments. Attend agile ceremonies including daily standups, planning, and retrospectives, working in partnership with technology teams on execution. * Project execution and leadership: in partnership with the scrum master, drive, negotiate, and prioritize in-sprint activities and problem solve to mitigate risks to meet business commitments by staying on-schedule and within budget. Lead, collaborate with, and motivate a cross-functional team of designers, project managers, scrum masters, business analysts, developers, and testers to build, execute and release features in alignment with digital roadmaps. Provide leadership when important decisions are needed and be accountable for managing stakeholder expectations, validating work effort and the appropriate sequence of activities to successfully deliver on project plans. * Testing and deployment: review and execute test plans with our technology teams to ensure a quality deliverable to our users.  In some instances, support business user acceptance testing responsibilities (test plans and use cases creation to reflect requirements which demonstrate a deliverable meets quality standards and is ready for field and consumer use). In concert with the business owner, sign-off on all systems prior to their release. * User training and change management: collaborate with marketing product managers to create well laid-out content with the appropriate amount of detail, and process-maps where appropriate, to train our users and marketing stakeholders. This includes crafting and distributing business-facing release notes on a regular cadence as well as conducting training and developing user documentation. * Monitoring and quality: review and conduct post-deployment validation and ongoing monitoring, as required by the initiative. * Operating Model Development: create the operating capability for Marketing to manage the inventory of all targeted digital content for marketing programs or customer engagement across digital channels including new and emerging form factors. * Personalization, learning and optimization: in partnership with Product Managers and the Marketing Data Stewards, ensure platform roadmaps include requirements that enable personalization within a test-and-learn environment, with the aim to continuously improve initiatives through the tracking of data, reading of in-market results and agile responses.  Act as a catalyst for continued efforts to improve personalization through the use of dynamic content, promoting a cross-functional view, and collaborating across the team to identify new opportunities and define how they can best be executed.   Skills & Competencies * Deep understanding of Digital Asset Management, automated asset workflows and enabling interoperability with MRM tools and consumer-facing channels to support creative collaboration, dynamic sharing and distribution of assets * Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management technologies, especially implementing Adobe Experience Cloud suite of products * Strong verbal and written communications, combined with technical acumen, understanding of leading marketing tools and platforms (digital asset management, website content management, content experience, content marketing etc.), and scaled agile * Self-starter, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and passionate about driving change * Internal influencer, culture carrier, negotiating, and consulting skills * High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously * Excited to work in an organization that values and empowers an entrepreneurial spirit and specialized expertise * System/process oriented, problem solver, ability to manage multiple initiatives and balance the need to work strategically and hands-on   Experience * Bachelor’s Degree * 5+ years experience must include managing large scale projects and platform management * 3+ years experience with marketing automation platform management * Experience working with a team of product owners to integrate and connect the Adobe Experience Cloud suite of products (e.g., Adobe AEM Sites, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Campaign) * Experience must include working in a scaled agile delivery framework (SAFe) using agile software (Rally) or the equivalent #LI-JP1 EOE M/F/D/V If you have difficulty using or interacting with any portions of this Web site due to incompatibility with an Assistive Technology, if you need the information in an alternative format, or if you have suggestions on how we can make this site more accessible, please contact us at: (212) 576-5811.
