The Michael G. Foster School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for a Content Producer (Web Information Specialist).

This position is part of the Marketing and Communications Department at the Foster School of Business. The Content Producer, under the direction of the Director of Online Marketing and working closely with the Online Marketing Team, is responsible for producing content for the Foster School of Business website, intranet, e-newsletters, social media outlets and other electronic communications to reach key Foster School stakeholders and the business community.

The ideal candidate will recognize the importance of web content and realize that quality content (descriptions, pictures and graphics) is the single most important requirement to having a quality website. He or she will also have a good understanding of the elements that characterize great user experiences.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, quick-thinking, energetic, efficient, and able to work independently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as this position requires interacting with other staff throughout the Foster School as well as some students, alumni, and friends of the school.

Candidates should have demonstrated success in packaging stories, photos, audio and video from multiple sources. Candidates should enjoy innovating and be comfortable blending exclusive, original and aggregated material and user-generated content to create a compelling site that engages users and encourages repeat visits.


Actively produce and promote content on the school's website and social media outlets following content plans and editorial calendars developed by the Online Marketing team. Typical activities include producing feature stories, faculty research summaries, news articles, blog posts, magazine articles, and other content. Monitor the daily queue of minor web change requests.

Work closely with the online team to develop, test, and maintain new content models interactive content.

Regularly advise academic departments, centers and programs about content improvements and changes, providing web analytics reports and analyses.

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Informatics, Business or related field. 2-3 years of web content, program coordination, and marketing experience.


Experience with and ability to use content management tools, specifically Wordpress

Understanding of and experience with common web development tools

Demonstrated communications skills, including online editing and writing skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others

Strong interest in web-based communications and knowledge of web editing skills

Strong organizational skills, initiative, creativity and resourcefulness

Ability to perform as an effective team member while handling independent projects and responsibilities with minimal supervision

Demonstrated passion for creating a world-class customer-facing user experience and have a desire to develop creative ideas, concepts, and new ways of doing things

Experience working in higher education

KING TV's Local Programming department is looking for a creative and driven Branded Digital Content Producer to support the sales and content priorities of KING's original lifestyle and entertainment programs, including Evening, and New Day Northwest as well as community focused and sales-driven events. This role reports to the Manager of Digital Content for Local Programming. Typical hours for this position are 12 – 8 p.m., Monday – Friday with occasional extended hours, evenings and weekends. Responsibilities: * Multi-Platform Content Creation (60%) – Your primary responsibility is to fulfill content-marketing obligations to our programming team and sales partners in the form of web articles, social videos, photos, contest sites, graphics, memes, Instagram stories, Text campaigns, Facebook Live videos, photo galleries, and whatever you think of next. You'll create original content for digital platforms, go out on assignment, execute on content as assigned, pitch in wherever you can to get the show on the air every night and get content distributed across all our platforms in just the right way for that audience. * Social Media Management & Publishing (30%) – Your goal is to grow our following on social platforms, thereby increasing the value proposition of the programs as whole. Job Requirements Job Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration (Management), Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for a degree. * Knowledge of best practices in SEO, as well as familiarity with content management systems, photo editing software and related programs. * Demonstrated copy writing, photography and video editing skills.
