Hulu's Content Operations team is seeking a Content Operations Project Manager

  • Originals who will be an exceptional addition to our Content Operations team. As a Content Operations Project Manager

  • Originals at Hulu, you will help oversee the quality control process for Hulu's original programming. You will use your project management expertise, keen eye for detail, and advanced post-production skillset to review and approve Hulu Originals video and audio assets to ensure all projects not only meet a high technical and quality standard, but that all projects are completed on-time and on budget. You will also use your experience and knowledge of digital asset management to help with ingestion, publication, and back-end asset management of these assets. The right person for this role has professional experience in all manners of video operations and common post-production and video issues: what causes them, how to best resolve them, and what can be done to avoid common issues in the first place. You have eyes and ears for detail and possess an uncanny knack for spotting dead pixels, video artifacts, and a wide variety of other video and audio problems. You are able to communicate project status updates to internal and external teams quickly and concisely, and you will help to quickly resolve issues as they arise.   • Review and approve Hulu Originals video, audio, and metadata assets to ensure adherence to Hulu's technical specifications and high quality standards for its original programming

  • Track deliveries against production calendars and help ensure assets are approved in a timely and cost-effective manner

  • Liaise with external vendors, studio partners, and post-production teams in order to meet those deadline and quality targets

  • Ingest, prepare, and publish Hulu Originals assets through Hulu's internal content management system; review and approve asset metadata to ensure accuracy

  • Evaluate current delivery workflows and propose new, different, and better ways of improving operational efficiency

  • Independently and proactively analyze operational workflows and best practices and propose scalable solutions for Hulu's content management toolsets and workflows.


  • Minimum 4 years experience in video quality control, post-production, and/or digital distribution

  • A keen eye and ear for detail and an ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems related to video, audio, and digital deliveries

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong digital asset management background

  • Deep knowledge of digital video formats and encoding and playback tools

  • Experience with network file systems and high-speed transfer services

  • A familiarity with 4K/UHD, HDR, and expanded audio

  • A willingness to watch a TON of TV

  • Bachelor's Degree, TV/Film Production, Communications, or similar preferred


  • Knowledge of dailies and color pipelines

  • Specific familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Rohde and Schwarz Clipster, and Colorfront Transkoder

  • Experience with MacOS, Terminal command line, and MySQL
