The Content Marketing Manager has the primary responsibility to define and create innovative and compelling content in support of driving traffic, user engagement and lead conversion of wexinc.com. Responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate core messages and ideas to be delivered across long-form content, web pages, GIFs, infographics, video scripts and more. You will develop, execute and measure an audience-centric content plan that advances WEX brand visibility across search engines. Assess content performance and make recommendations to improve content development.
Generate compelling, SEO-driven content that brings in organic visitors and inbound digital leads. Create internal understanding and collaboration thru data-informed rationale and insight.
Understand what audiences consume and how to connect with them.
Use marketing analytics to optimize and scale content initiatives and measure success.
Work cross-functionally with all lines of business including Global teams, product management, HR, training and other departments.
Apply more expressive and interactive content formats to increase audience engagement.
Develop best practices and advocacy to the organization for content development and SEO.
Keep abreast of channel trends, advocate for appropriate investment to drive positive change, scale and growth from Digital channel. Serve as in-house expert on channel strategies and tactics.
Analyze and communicate competitor strategies to key stakeholders.
Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure we regularly engage our audience, and set predictable timelines for publishing regular and evergreen content.
Serve as a primary contributor to wexinc.com and use the platform as the hub of all content initiatives
Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to recommend, create, and repurpose content that's relevant, differentiated, and actionable
5-10 years global Website and SEO experience in B2B and B2C industries
Familiarity with web analytics systems and marketing technologies: Google Analytics, Keyword Research tools (i.e. Brightedge), SEO tools (i.e. SEOMoz, SEM Rush, Search Console), CMS (WordPress, etc), Personalization/testing tools (i.e. Monetate, Evergage) and other relevant technologies
Familiarity with integrated paid & organic search marketing
Experience in multichannel content creation
Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics
Ability to process in-depth site analysis and make strategic recommendations for content improvement
Proven ability to write well and convey ideas clearly
Experience mapping, integrating, and repackaging content into new vehicles and formats to expand reach and respond to evolving consumption preferences
Development and execution of Content Editorial Calendars and Link Building
Experience with Wordpress, Salesforce MarketingCloud
Familiar with Photoshop, HTML, CSS
