Business Environment:

Content Services provides relevant & accurate content consistently across channels as a key enabler of Customer Experience. It is a WW organization that collects, globalizes and distributes marketing content to Channel Partners, Sales Teams, Retailers and HP Stores. Its objective is to promote HP products, drive brand consistency, enhance sales productivity and enable marketing agility. Content includes features, technical specification, messaging, and rich media such as images and videos.

Global Content Launch Manager Function:

The Content Launch Manager is the primary contact for the Business Unit and

champions and facilitates the BU requirements into the Content Services organization.

CLM Primary Roles and responsibilities:

Focused on an entire Business Unit or a subset of products within the BU. Maintains a close relationship with the BU, located on their base physical site.

  • frequent face to face time with Subject Matter Experts and GBU marketing management
  • hold periodic meetings and a quarterly QBR

Manages an NPI Roadmap for the business, based on the POR/Rainbow chart. Educates GBUs and RBUs on Content Services processes and offerings. Specialist on the BU products, objectives, direction, overall business. Defines the Marketing Hierarchy of new product offerings (NPIs). Defines high-level priorities for product content, define the product structure. Becomes an expert on all product content characteristics and on how they are represented in content systems

  • obtain early knowledge of upcoming NPIs and changes to business strategy
  • give guidance on data model structure and publication mapping

Directs the Content Acquisition Specialists in the acquisition process, ensuring all content elements are available at the appropriate time within the planning cycle. Accountable for the E2E NPI marketing content availability for a specific BU.

  • Act as escalation point for priority issues the BU has with Content Management and the overall flow of content

Leverages the GBU business acumen back into the Content Services team.

  • provide GBU updates at weekly NPI readiness meetings
  • communicate upcoming roadmap, projects, and strategy changes to regional content teams
  • insure appropriate engagement from regional content teams

Brings new/updated content requirements into the Content Standards Forum to insure creation of needed content types and structure. Follow up on any implementations.

Performance criteria:

All NPIs are identified and adequately planned for and have met the publication deliverables.

New content requirements are properly planned, defined and addressed to precede acquisition needs.

Content and terminology standards are correctly applied.

Issues are detected and resolved within an appropriate TAT.

Quality: marketing content is delivered on time with no defects.

Advocates content reuse to the highest possible degree, being mindful of quality at the source (QATS) principles.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

  • 510 years of experience in project management in a marketing area

  • Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communicator with high levels of tact and diplomacy

  • Cross-functional collaboration experience

  • Demonstrated project management expertise

  • Marketing content management knowledge

  • Comfortable in a multicultural environment

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Autonomous and flexible

  • Effective and creative problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail
