Position Description

iPullRank is looking for a Content Director to join our agency and lead our content and optimization team. This position is that of a player-coach, with responsibility for specific client deliverables in addition to leading our production team of content creators, developers and optimization specialists. You will ensure disciplined adherence to content strategy, develop brand messaging architecture and enforce governance models for our clients. As well, you will collaborate with the Research and Analytics team, aligning content strategy with audience research and overseeing the execution of content campaigns. What Youll Do

  • Develop multi-channel Content Strategy to inform client content creation efforts
  • Perform content audits
  • Lead brand voice and tone workshops for clients
  • Review client content deliverables to ensure adherence to Content Strategy
  • Enforce and lead the adherence to content workflow and governance models both internally and externally
  • Manage the timely delivery of content projects
  • Lead copywriting, design and content strategy team members
  • Collaborate with the Market Research/Analytics and Development teams for insights that inform Content Strategy and delivery
  • Lead internal and external ideation sessions for content creation
  • Enter updated copy into Content Management Systems
  • Work directly with analysts and content strategists to execute on content campaigns
  • Work with the Research & Analytics team to design and execute Conversion tests
  • Contribute to iPullRank inbound marketing efforts including blog posts and other forms of thought leadership
  • Work with Account Management to obtain actionable feedback from clients

Requirements

  • An irrepressible urge to build something
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience leveraging market segmentation in the development of Content Strategy
  • Experience defining brand messaging architecture
  • Itching for the opportunity to do things your way
  • Experience implementing and enforcing governance models
  • Experience writing copy for various verticals and multiple brand voices and tones
  • Experience developing Social Media campaigns
  • Previous SEO experience preferred
  • The ability to maintain a sense of humor when facing deadline pressures
  • Must possess a high degree of accuracy and pay close attention to detail (e.g. no typos)
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • The courage to both speak your mind and encourage others to do the same
  • The emotional intelligence to execute on the previous bullet point with respectful professionalism and a deep desire to find the right answer, even if its not yours
  • Excellent written, analytical and verbal skills
  • The virtuosity of a first-class individual contributor combined with the strategic thinking of a field general
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - Excel skills are a must have
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Experience with a variety of Content Management Systems a plus
  • Prior Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (Optimizely, Unbounce) and Marketing Automation (Marketo, HubSpot) platforms a plus

General Description The Content Director of ROB is responsible for conceptualizing and overseeing the creation of content for ROB. This includes overseeing text and digital (e.g. video) content. Duties also include sales presentations with the Publisher (VP of Business Development) to optical manufacturers and professional associations that sponsor publications, reports, videos and events. The CD also develops content for live meetings, including writing and editing content and hiring and managing presenters. The CD often hosts live programs and presents reports and discussions to industry groups. The CD manages the Managing Editor and the ROB Professional Editor. In addition, the CD develops and manages outside creative consultants in graphic design, photography and videography.
