We are currently seeking a Content Design Producer to join the News+ team, part of Apple Media Products. This is an opportunity for the right individual to have a direct impact on a team that will help define the future of Apple's core media products through thoughtful and innovative content initiatives. A bit about you The right candidate will have experience leading content production, as a design producer or similar capacity, with an innate ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, deliver on time, and relentlessly uphold our creative vision. Your project management practices are proven and start-up ingenuity are important to you and the work. You are highly organized. You are proactive, self-motivated and adaptable. You can solve problems independently. You can 'see around the corners' and identify communication, logistical, and scheduling challenges. You have a disciplined approach to managing your projects, but maintain the flexibility to work both tactically and strategically when adjustments are required. We are looking for someone with experience working in partnership with senior creative teams to bring ideas to life. Familiarity with content planning and effective resource management are key, as well as understanding the impact of production decisions on both creative output and cross functional partner's businesses. Ideal candidates excel at setting expectations, with the ability to identify and articulate alternative solutions when changes arise.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of experience acting as a producer in a creatively-driven advertising agency or internal creative team, developing and leading: budgets, schedules and assets

  • Expertise in content creation and production processes; ideally within a subscription services business model

  • You are tactical with careful attention to detail, but able to think more holistically about opportunities for efficiency and team structure

  • Experience articulating creative intent to others and proactively organizing partners to put ideas into action

  • Being comfortable and confident working in a dynamic environment, partnering with teams to move through the unknown

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in person, in meetings, email and Slack


This role leads all aspects of the end-to-end design creation processes for News+. More specifically: - Leads and manages communication and workflows for Design teams, ensuring effective exchange of information and asset deliverables

  • Effectively manages and clearly communicates overall campaign timelines, project deliverables, and resourcing needs

  • Effectively manages communication (via email and in meetings) between Design teams and content partners, ensuring both teams are aware of deadlines, the details of requested revisions, and approvals

  • Navigates competing initiatives and prioritizes resources appropriately, while mitigating associated challenges

  • Handles day-to-day critical issues and troubleshooting of production challenges

  • Fosters relationships with other functional teams to ensure that we're delivering against asks while creating an environment that allows for innovation

  • Works closely with internal and external partner teams to identify more efficient workflows

  • Plans, leads, and executes workflows, ensuring effective flow of information as well as deliverables, including but not limited to partnering with external agencies (in order to maintain budgets, briefs, scopes, burn rates, timelines, etc)

Education & Experience

BA/BS or equivalent experience.

What we're looking for: The Producer is responsible for developing and producing anchor-driven content and segments for Mornings on 1. The Producer will also create the background and support material to make unscripted conversations engaging and informative. Strong social media experience needed. Other responsibilities may include overseeing the live control room, copy editing, working with reporters in the field, field producing and creating additional show content. This person will also contribute to special features, live remotes as well as participate in coordinating coverage of major stories, breaking news and specials. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Create the background and support material to make unscripted conversations engaging and informative * Liaise with other show producers, Executive Producer and Senior Executive Producer so that the anchor-driven content fits well within the larger broadcast * Produces assigned newscasts and news inserts making decisions on story lineup, video/audio elements, graphics and timing to construct show * Writes news stories for an assigned newscasts; ensuring content is factually correct and written in a clear and concise conversational style * Research and assemble background information for on-air discussion and guest segments * Ability to produce live or recorded newscasts * Monitor and cultivate social media content for on-air talent * In addition to day-of-air content needs, simultaneously develop future anchor segments for in the field and/or in-studio * Pitch larger anchor-driven series for Mornings on 1 * Follows through on all assignments meeting required deadlines according to the Executive Producer's instructions * Works with associate producers to create the newscast product * Produces special programming as needed * Works in computerized newsroom environment * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. * Strong broadcast news writing ability * Ability to anticipate situations and meet strict deadlines * Interpersonal skills and excellent collaboration skills * Ability to work effectively within a team environment and interact with all personnel within the organization * Knowledge of current events and industry trends * Attention to detail * Familiarity with the local market * Knowledge of social media platforms * Must be able to work rapidly and accurately * Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems a plus * Basic editing skills * Must be able and willing to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes Education & Experience: * High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or comparable television work experience preferred * 3+ years of Television news experience Our Culture: Every employee is an influencer and culture keeper.
