About the Position:

As a member of the Nexus Operations Team, the Training and Content Specialist will develop knowledge content and training for Nexus customers, partners, and employees. They will work closely with Implementation, Support, Supplier Services, and Product teams to ensure clear understanding of the software, corporate messaging and value strategy, and the unique needs of the varied Nexus customer base. The Training and Content Specialist will draft all knowledge content, training curriculum, and training materials. Qualified candidates have a background in technical writing, training, and product marketing for cloud-based software.

Responsibilities of this Position:

Plan and execute a content and training strategy that drives high engagement by customers and employees

Develop, launch, and maintain an ongoing and frequent webinar series tailored for the Nexus customer types

Document and maintain all training materials for customer training delivery, including trainer guides, knowledge base articles, and student hand-outs

Update and maintain customer-facing and internal knowledge base, including a review/update cycle to keep cadence with software releases

Update and maintain customer-facing user guides

Research new training materials and delivery methods that might enhance our training procedures and provide value to our customers

Identify future training needs and create curriculum to facilitate that training

Facilitate new hire onboarding training on the Nexus Platform and provide ongoing training to Nexus Operations employees

Stay updated on industry trends and adjust the content strategy as needed

Search for gaps in training material or content that should be filled to ensure customer remain educated about the most current features in Nexus software

Create a training schedule that supports Nexus customers and partners

Research and evaluate training software programs to automate the administrative functions of the department

Collaborate with the Operations, Product, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for improvement, ensure consistent messaging and brand messaging, and feedback from their engagement with customers

Ensure all content is developed with quality, clarity and consistency

Edit content produced by other members of the team

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a similar role, developing training or content

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with industry best practices and standards

  • Ability to translate complex problems and concepts in training and knowledge content to contacts with varying levels of technical knowledge and expertise

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience with accounting software and/or knowledge of basic accounting business practices

Experience in content management and knowledge base solutions

VIEW JOBS 8/29/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-27T00:00 Position is contingent upon contract award Our candidate will be performing administrative support duties associated with ensuring that the executive level support services required under this contract are provided with a staff that has the expertise to successfully perform quality work in an accurate, timely manner in support of the mission of the Healthcare Business and Administration Department and Medical Readiness Department of The Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED). Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Prepare correspondence packages using BUMED approval process procedures for receiving appropriate signature and approval on behalf of the Secretary of the Navy, the Surgeon General, and the Deputy Chief. * Prepare executive correspondence packages and provide responses to requests for information. Ensure timely management of all materials sent out for review and clearance. * Monitor senior military/civilian leadership calendar, scheduling appointments and make commitments to attend meetings. * Schedule and support travel for BUMED M31 and M34 staff to ensure maximum attendance using BUMED travel guidelines. * Coordinate monthly teleconferences with the Navy Medicine Regional points of contacts. * Facilitate the scheduling the room(s) and coordinate with Information Technology support when VTC capabilities for bi-weekly and monthly meetings. * Prepare, submit and edit agenda and meeting minutes for executive meetings. * Assist with electronic case file transfer as directed. * Provide expertise on procedural matters to include Navy correspondence and preparing such correspondence for the code's senior military/civilian leadership. * Prepare, edit, and staff newly issued BUMED policy, guidance, regulation, or legislation. * Prepare, edit and staff draft correspondence in response to Congressional and other high level and beneficiary inquiries. * Edit and staff education and training program of instruction for grammatical and content errors. Experience and Skills * Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office products, Executive Secretariat E-Mail systems, or other Department of the Navy (DON) provided programs. * Demonstrated experience in preparing and editing executive correspondence packages. * Demonstrated experience with managing executive level calendars and protocol associated with appointment scheduling. * Demonstrated knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS), TV5 task management system, other tasking systems, program, and software. * Minimum of one year of administrative support experience. * Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly in order to effectively communicate with all personnel for which they will interact. * Have the ability to enunciate with sufficient clarity to be readily understood by line commanders, local administrators, senior officials, and BUMED staff. * Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that they can relate constructively to a variety of contacts from diverse background. Education: * Bachelor's degree in an associated technical discipline. Work Location: * Client site in National Capitol Region.
