The Content Analyst is Responsible for working in department activities related to the automated capture of data, the research of applicable data, and the identification of vehicle applications to the researched data.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret vehicle information as it relates to data researched from multiple formats including:
Service procedures and images
Print formats (paper catalogs, microfiche, DVD)
Internet research
Dealer visits, brochures
Website content may be acquired in both text and image formats and may require various levels of editing. Acquired content will be mapped to specific vehicle applications (i.e., year, make, model, etc.) as well as systems, locations, components, etc., using proprietary tools. Load data to database repository using proprietary tool and troubleshoot any issues resulting from the load.
Execution of quality assurance processes to ensure published content meets product and end-user expectations
Assist in resolving customer concerns
Skills and Qualifications Required
Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle parts, systems, service and repair operations, relationships, and nomenclature for light duty as well as medium-heavy duty vehicles
Ability to work with a stringent deadline while maintaining the quality of work
Self-motivated, results-oriented team player, with an ability to work effectively in a remote/offsite capacity
Basic skill level with Microsoft Office applications
Data entry and cleanup of existing database as defined for team products
Possess strong analytical thinking, with an attention to detail
Proven ability to produce high-quality, accurate content
A passion for the automotive world
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Associate degree from accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications
Extensive knowledge of vehicle parts/systems and basic operations of OEM service sites
Familiarity with database concepts
Knowledge of industry related applications
Technical degree, certificate in Automotive/Truck repair or three+ years' experience working with an OEM or aftermarket company on parts catalogs for passenger cars, light-duty trucks, or medium/heavy duty
Understanding of automotive or industry taxonomies
