Must be flexible to work overtime as required.
You can look forward to using your expertise in this manner: Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Assists senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Education and Experience Education:
Not required.
Experience: Two (2) years of repair (hydraulic & electrical) experience Travel MUST be flexible to travel for training for two weeks at the WM Florida Training Center within your first 30 to 60 days of employment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Valid drivers license and must have a clean driving record.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
If a CDL is a requirement for a specific posting, an applicant must be 21 years of age.

The Role: Godwin, a Xylem brand seeks to hire a Diesel Mechanic. A Diesel Pump Mechanic III is responsible for trouble-shooting, maintenance, service and repair of Godwin pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in the shop or at a customer job site. He/she is also responsible for recording parts and labor accurately on appropriate Work Orders and Internal Equipment Repair forms and participating in a service call rotation. When not engaged in the mechanic responsibilities, they will assist in the yard or perform other duties as assigned. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends. * Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental. * Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager. * Create an accurate and legible parts and repair list for assigned fleet equipment. Review list of parts with Service Manager and obtain approval to continue with servicing and repair. * Repair damaged equipment. * Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality. * Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment as directed (air dryer, chain saws, lifts, etc.). * Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems. * Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology. * Assist with system setup on customer job sites as needed. * Operate Xylem/Godwin service truck and respond to afterhours customer service calls * Perform related duties as assigned.
