Overview:

The Triage Nurse Team Lead is responsible for the performance of all nurses on their assigned team. The Team Lead is a supervisory position supporting, coaching, developing and ensuring the daily operations and successful performance of their team of nurses. The Team Lead is required to be a registered nurse with triage experience, have excellent attention to detail, have strong communication skills, and serve as a role model for the IntellaTriage Way and our procedures. This is a full-time role that will report to the Director of Clinical Operations.

Bottom line – we want to ensure our providers’ patients can receive the care they need any time, any place. We provide our customer’s patients with the comforting and medically appropriate guidance they need during the most trying times. We improve our customer’s bottom line by reducing overall cost to deliver quality after-hours care.

What you’ll do:

The Team Lead will provide daily oversight, education, and communication to the clinical leadership team to ensure their team of team of nurses can perform their daily tasks successfully. The team lead will be managing between approximately 30 nurses depending on size on of their team. In addition to Team Lead responsibilities Team Leads are expected to triage for the agency in times of critical need due to staffing or high volumes and participate in the Administrator on Call (AOC) rotation.

  • Provide direct oversight over their team of nurses by checking-in with each nurse on your team while on shift, conducting weekly meetings, and completion of both formal quarterly check ins and annual reviews
  • Complete payroll daily for your team of nurses
  • Participate and contribute to the weekly Team Lead meeting with the DCO
  • Willing to serve as a phone and backup trainer for new trainees coming to your team
  • Serve as a leadership point of contact for all new nurses assigned to your team
  • Identify potential preceptor candidates to be trained by the education department amongst your team of nurses to ensure training is conducted by the appropriate staff
  • Verify that each nurse has been educated on all changes including procedures, policies, and organizational changes
  • Partner with QA and the DCO to deliver timely feedback and findings to your triage nurses
  • Stay up to date on the licensing needs of your triage team
  • Assist Compliance by conducting on-shift licensure meetings during down-time to ensure each nurse on your team is achieving compliance
  • Ensure that your team understands the metrics, both call center and clinical quality, that they are responsible for meeting

Requirements

·        BSN in nursing preferred.

·        Clinical triage experience required.

·        Requires a minimum of 1 year call center experience.

·        Previous management experience preferred.

·        Above average written and oral communication skills

·        The ability to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts

·        Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft business applications

·        Experience with RingCentral preferred.

Benefits

Salary is will be based on experience. All part-time and full-time RNs are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan. Full-time RNs may also participate in medical, dental, vision, and/or supplemental insurances.
