This Contact Center Representative position earns a competitive wage of $13.83 - $14.50/hour, depending on experience, as well as the potential to earn a monthly incentive up to $300 or $400, depending on effort and hours worked! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PART-TIME CONTACT CENTER REPRESENTATIVE

As a Contact Center Representative, you perform a broad variety of member services over the phone such as checking account balances, transferring funds, calculating interest, helping with card disputes, taking loan payments, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems. No matter what the issue, you ensure our members are taken care of and know they are a part of a credit union that loves them.

You are busier than ever in this time of social distancing, but you thrive in a fast-paced environment and your excellent customer service remains consistent. A good listener, you answer questions and resolve issues patiently.

Utilizing your product knowledge, you use a consultative approach to uncover needs and cross-sell financial products. You handle frustrated callers with empathy and professionalism.

When needed, you refer members to the appropriate department or employee. You perform related clerical tasks promptly and accurately. With pride, you keep your work area clean, secure, and well maintained. While some callers require extra patience, most are appreciative of the excellent customer service you provide them--and you go home at the end of each shift feeling good about the great service that you've provided.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PART-TIME CONTACT CENTER REPRESENTATIVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • One year of credit union experience

  • Thorough knowledge of member services and financial products provided

  • Understanding of member bookkeeping procedures

  • Computer and 10-key skills

  • Phone skills and etiquette

  • Basic math skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

A DAY IN THE LIFE CONTACT CENTER REPRESENTATIVE The contact center rep is responsible for performing a broad variety of member services over the phone such as checking account balances, transferring funds, calculating interest, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems. Answers member questions regarding Credit Union services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance. Cross-sells credit union services. Assists or refers members to the appropriate employees or departments with any and all questions or problems that arise. Attends to all telephone inquiries and transactions for members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional performance of member service functions over the phone. * Presents and explains Credit Union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs. Orders checks for member accounts. Helps with CD maintenance. * Answers questions and solves problems for members by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring party. Resolves member bookkeeping and account problems. * Receives and directs members and telephone calls. Responds to inquiries and questions, or directs them as necessary. Records and relays messages. * Answers questions regarding all credit union products and services except specific questions about investment services, mortgages or collections. Performs general account research, Visa cash advances, Visa card activation, Visa travel notes and Visa card orders. * Answers questions regarding eservices. Has a working knowledge of computers as it applies to credit union eservices. * Takes loan payments over the phone and by mail. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members. * Resolves member requests and questions promptly, courteously, and professionally. * Keeps members informed of Credit Union services and policies. * Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with area personnel and management. * Assists area personnel as required. * Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and significant problems.
