Nestle Nespresso is hiring a Consumer Insights Manger to join our growing Marketing team. The Consumer Insights Manager will lead the development, delivery & integration of consumer insights throughout the wider Nespresso US organization. They will proactively recommend and manage the development & implementation of market research studies to successfully deliver meaningful, business-relevant insights. The Consumer Insights Manager will connect the dots across different data sources & studies to deliver multisource syntheses that have a business relevant narrative. They will accurately track & measure our performance against competition.

Custom Research Framing & Design:

  • Proactively work with cross-functional teams & senior leadership to identify knowledge gaps. Develop consumer-learning plan.

  • Work with business partners to accurately frame key business issues. Manage RFP process & supplier selection.

  • Manage all aspects of the project timeline to a timely & on budget completion.


  • Drive a holistic view of the consumer & marketplace.

  • Leverage all data sources (past research, secondary data, CRM data, and digital tracking) to develop & share-out multisource insights syntheses.

  • Develop & present research summaries of key insights for senior leadership.

Consumer Empathy:

  • Act as a consumer advocate within the organization.

  • Lead the development & implementation of regular insights share-out's that drive the consumer voice throughout the organization.

Competitive Analysis:

  • Develop & manage accurate picture of competitive performance (share, velocity, etc.)

  • Partner with HQ to driven competitive insights throughout the organization.

  • Effectively manage tools & relationships needed to deliver competitive insights quickly & accurately.

Digital Insights:

  • Mine digital data & translate into tangible insights.

  • Integrate digital insights with other data sources (past research, secondary data, CRM data, and current studies)

  • Recommend key tools & practices to best understand our consumers in the digital space.


  • BA required, preferably in Business/Marketing, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • MA preferred.


  • 5+ years of market research experience, required.

  • 3+ years leading consumer insights within an organization, preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of market research techniques both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Working knowledge of syndicated research sources (Nielsen, IRI, Mintel, Simmons, etc.).

  • Highly detailed oriented with strong strategic thinking abilities & analytical skills.

  • Exceptional communication / presentation skills (both written and verbal).

This role is part of the premium business group within the premium strategy team. Specific responsibilities include playing a strategic partnership role for senior management and leveraging Consumer Insights activities in the following areas: What you'll do * Drive research projects including design, execution, analysis, and recommendation. * Develop and lead a learning plan for the premium business * Assist business team to write clear research briefs * Lead thinking in design and partner with research agencies to execute * Develop reports and actionable recommendations and Ensure implementation in the business * Manage and enhance the brand tracker program, disseminate and implement actionable recommendations Spotify premium business. * Support brand tracker learning implementation for premium business * Leverage Holistic User Understanding Model approach: synthesize all data sources and integrate them. Having an MBA with Marketing specialization is a plus! * You've worked on the client-side experience (preferably with a CPG//tech company with a state of the art insights organization) * You are passionate about music with a deep understanding of genres, artists and various types of content * You are passionate about technology, and abreast of new technology especially as it impacts content and music streaming * You have a deep understanding of research tools & techniques – Quantitative, Qualitative, Analytics * You are a strategic thinker with an independent mindset i.e. to think strategically at project level by understanding how results address overall business issue * You are experienced working with first party behavioral data to integrate into actionable insights * You enjoy being actively involved and participating in all projects across stages from design to analysis * You are experienced at crafting questionnaires, and have experience with qualtrics and other self-serving tools as well as SPSS * You are able to manage multiple priorities and operate autonomously * You are a phenomenal communicator and are able to influencer others & impact decision-making * Ability and desire to travel We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination.
