Location: This is a hybrid position with option to be based at either Emeryville HQ or East Hanover HQ with expectations of in-office time minimum twice a week.
Mission: The Consumer Insights Manager is a key member of Clif Bar's Insights & Analytics team, responsible for driving the learning agenda and shaping strategy. You will support growth by partnering with the Clif business and turning consumer, competitive and category insights into strategies and actions.
How you will contribute
Deep consumer and category understanding, acting as the voice of the consumer to ensure strategies and plans are based on sound consumer and market understanding
Collaborate cross-functionally and play internal consultancy role with business partners
Anticipate business and insights needs
Design, manage and execute consumer research learning agendas
Understand the big picture but also the nuances of the business and the research
Able to step outside a purely data driven mindset and cut through data clutter to translate research into insights and actions
Integrate data from multiple sources (primary, secondary, scan and household panel data) into impactful story with clear, concise recommendations
Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with research partners and agencies to plan and execute projects, and ensure deliverables meet objectives

Innovation, including fuzzy front end research techniques and concept optimization
Data/Insights mining with syndicated tools (Nielsen/IRI, POS and Household panel) - preferred
Exceptional analytical and storytelling skills with solid grounding in translating data into clear concise story and actionable insights
Strategic thinking and influencing skills to provide strategic thought leadership to internal partners, and communicate and influence across levels and departments
Demonstrated project management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Open minded/flexible/autonomous and capable of leading cross-functional discussions
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,500 to $171,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
