About this position:

LMCU is looking for a Consumer Default Counselor to preserve the Credit Union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.

What you'll do:

• Contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; take appropriate action to bring current.

• Analyze financial situation of delinquent borrowers; make recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.

• Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity.

What You'll Bring: You'll like this position if you are...

• One to three years of similar or related experience. Prior experience working for a credit union is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
