Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.
The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
We are seeking a talented and seasoned individual with strong statistical/machine learning model building background with extensive experience in gathering, analyzing large data from multiple sources and generate features to support our consumer credit card/line of credit/loan account management programs. Proficient in designing multivariate or A/B test and finding the learning, advance segmentation techniques such as clustering and supervised/unsupervised learning and data mining techniques. Must be proficient in SAS/SQL/R/Python.
Duties May Include:
Innovate next generation data sources, leverage advance analytics techniques to create features and apply those features to improve account management strategies & programs
Evaluate and monitor statistical model performance at segment level and work with model development team to improve model performance
Develop and track leading indicator and able to recognize vulnerable segments through statistical/machine learning techniques leveraging internal and external data sources.
Understand industry best practices and or competitive analysis through developing predictive models by leveraging trade level credit bureau information.
Analyze/evaluate key risk indicators and metrics, enhance risk reporting and identify new areas of analytic focus to make portfolio resilient to economic downturn.
Lead/support ad-hoc portfolio analytic projects
Maintain productive relationships with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Execution/Implementation, on analytical projects
Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: Charlotte, NC; Summit, NJ; New York; NY

A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
5 + years of experience with computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Cognos or Tableau
Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience with deep learning models such as CNN, LSTM
5 + years of experience with computer programs including, but not limited to, Python/R/SQL/SAS
Experience in statistical and machine learning modeling/segmentation analysis
Proficient with the advanced level SAS or R or Python and SQL.
Advanced degree in computer science, operations research, statistics, Mathematics, Physics, finance, economics, engineering or similar quantitative disciplines
Experience in credit card portfolio risk management strategy development
Expertise in credit line increase/decrease, balance transfer, pricing, collection and high risk management
Proficient with data extraction/mining tools, large data management and data stratification
Excellent business sense beyond just understanding data
Strong problem solving skills and proven track record of performing complex business/risk analysis
Self-starter - ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve success
Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to accomplish business goals
