Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Consumer Credit Services (CCS) Risk Management is looking for an experienced Credit Portfolio Consultant to support collections strategy & analytics, reporting and strategy implementation. This includes using analytics and other tools to re-develop and monitor collections and recovery strategies, provide collections oversight and be able to explain the impact of collections performance on delinquency trends as well as working with operations teams to implement operational best practices via test and control approaches.
Qualified candidates must have excellent communication skills, high degree of initiative, strong partnering and interpersonal skills, solid project/process management skills, as well as critical analytical thinking and SAS coding skills. Qualified candidates must also possess a results driven attitude committed to quality work.
Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Develop robust and consistent reporting and monitoring capability to track Collections performance across CCS through the Portfolio Quality Review process
Drive Collection risk management contact strategies including segmentation, contact communciation optimization and channel feasibility
Provide analytics to help improve Collections efficiency and effectiveness and make recommendations to senior management
Provide analytics to help understand how our Collections strategies are impacting our portfolio
Extraction and compilation of data from various sources
Perform analysis and reporting to support management decision-making and strategic objectives with quantitative approaches
Work collaboratively and effectively with multiple teams including Collections Operations and Risk Management Loss Forecasting
Present results and recommendations to senior management

5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
Credit risk experience
A BA/BS degree or higher in business or finance
Experience with strategy development and implementation
Experience articulating a complex problem, design, or build strategy
Ability to develop and integrate data driven and analytical decision making for product and service operational activities
Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets
Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills

A Master's degree or higher
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete projects on time
