The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Credit Card Account Management Strategy senior role will be responsible for leading the analytic solutions for portfolio risk management. This role will combine deep knowledge of financial services and advanced analytics to optimize decision making.

Manage Portfolio analytics and monitoring (including PQR and program performances) for Card Account Management Risk, drive and/or align new channel, product and prospect strategies, account and customer treatment optimizations, portfolio and program insights, as well as supporting Retail Services and Dillard portfolios

  • Quantitative analytics using programming tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau and/or Python, R) to analyze data from a variety of sources to optimize segmentation, portfolio and account management program strategies

  • Provide insights to senior leadership regarding portfolio and ongoing program performance. Produce and review monthly, quarterly and annual strategy performance reports for senior management

  • Partner with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders, including Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Execution/Implementation

  • Maintain on-going processes and data updates to ensure data integrity, accuracy and timeliness

  • Lead/support ad-hoc business analytics as needed

  • Determine new channel, product, and prospect impacts to account management strategies including development of loss forecasts

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk role
  • 7+ years of SQL or SAS experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Job Description: The Cards, Merchant and Retail Services/Personal Lending (CRMS/PL) Control Team provides guidance to CRMS/PL businesses to support their commitment to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal operational policies and procedures. Through joint accountability with CRMS/PL process/business leaders for control functions, Controls Management enables the development and maintenance of a strong control environment that leads to early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. This role directly supports Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) work for CRMS/PL as a business aligned Control subject matter expert and is the primary consultant/coordinator for Control related training and initiatives (e.g. Control Data Quality, ENGIN, BPM, etc.) for CCS Control's 27 team members, 50+ business processes, and 1500+ managed Controls. This role will represent CCS Control for high risk business initiatives and identifying/assessing emerging risks. Responsibilities include: * Contribute to the development and enhancement of the business control environment through execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program. * Lead the CCS Control team's support of key risk initiatives including Control Data Quality, ENGIN, and Business Process Management. * Support the development of CCS Control team members, with training and consultation, into experts on Wells Fargo's Risk Management Framework, Risk & Control Assessments, and Control Monitoring/Measurement. * Represent CCS Control for complex/high risk business initiatives- ensuring initiative risks are identified, documented, and sufficiently addressed in a formal control plan * Lead assessments and document CRMS's exposure to emerging risks * Lead and influence partnerships with business process owners by consulting and providing expertise and strategic direction in control design to effectively mitigate risks, including design of effective means of measurement. * Engage in the development and implementation of new controls, action plans, and root cause analysis. * Assess and design appropriate metrics to inform and monitor the health of the operational risk environment.
