Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. The Unsecured Consumer Lending CRO team is seeking a talented leader within the CRO team will act as a primary support role to senior leaders across multiple businesses within Unsecured Leading. This position will be a critical resource to create streamlined governance and reporting documentation for working groups into risk committees/business reviews, as well as for internal and external key stakeholders. This position must have demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative environment that ensures timely communication, swift execution and strong cooperation between Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Credit Risk, Infrastructure Risk, Transformation Risk, business-aligned Control leaders, and the Business. This role will be tasked with providing support to ensure effective risk management governance communication is established and maintained, as well as to ensure we are capturing significant and emerging risks as they arise. This includes risk identification and assessment, risk measurement, risk assessment - among others - consistent with frameworks and policies established by Independent Risk Management (IRM) and in coordination with Executive Risk program leaders.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead Senior Management presentation development, including but not limited to: coordination, tracking, drafting, editing, formatting, reviewing, and submission

  • Review and edit technical reports and documents according to enterprise standards

  • Translates risk and business concepts or highly technical information in a way that can easily be visualized and understood by targeted audiences

  • Assist with document and reporting production and submittal

  • Demonstrate project management skills in order to drive consistent execution of committee/review documentation and reporting

  • Provide support of governance activities and risk management program activities

  • Provide constructive feedback in a timely manner on changes and improvements within documents and document writing

  • Establish productive, positive relationships with key stakeholders

  • Partner closely with our committee, communication and business teams to track and report on progress, metrics, strategic insights, dashboards and implementations within Risk initiatives

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk role

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical Writing experience, preferably in the banking industry

  • Extensive technical writing skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical writing

  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance or operational risk

  • 5+ years of policy and strategy development experience

  • 5+ years of risk policy creation experience

  • 5+ years of change management experience

  • 5+ years of experience with underwriting policies and procedures, including investor guidelines and regulatory updates

  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Strong project management skills

Our Credit Risk Analytics Officer will be responsible for performing analysis to support the CECL, BLF, and CCAR loss forecasting processes for Wells Fargo Auto. They will lead the delinquency forecasting efforts for the WF Auto portfolios as well. The individual will play a large role in helping to tell the story of Well Fargo Auto. This team member may use statistical and quantitative techniques (linear and logistic regression models, decision tree/data mining tools) to identify primary drivers for delinquency/losses and to evaluate delinquencies, losses, and associated trends. The individual will develop strong thorough documentation for all of their processes and present/lead audit partner interactions surrounding their efforts.
