The CCB Data & Analytics Team unifies data and analytics talent across Chase to responsibly leverage data to build competitive advantages for our businesses with value and protection for customers. The team encompasses a variety of Data & Analytics disciplines, from data governance and data strategy/partnerships to reporting, data science and machine learning, and are actively engaged in ensuring impact at the front-line and the customer through Sales and Marketing transformation. This position will be part of CCB Data and Marketing Analytics team, reporting directly to the Head of Data Delivery on the Data Infrastructure team. The Data Infrastructure team is a new team chartered to centrally own CCB data thereby enabling the organization to accelerate the adoption of Big Data platforms; streamline and harden controls; improve data efficiency and effectiveness by increasing data quality; and extract more value from our substantial data assets and infrastructure

Job Description:

This individual will own a designated domain of data use cases in the business as part of a function covering Consumer Credit Card data.

This person will be a key change agent and lead a highly skilled and specialized team responsible for

  • Providing knowledge leadership to the business for stakeholder advisement, strategic road map planning, Big Data architecture planning and user community communications

  • Leading critical data processes including continuous improvement cycles, change management and exception handling

  • Ensuring data quality by contributing to the firm-wide data model, facilitating more effective Meta Data Repository (MDR) and monitoring data quality

  • Owning key data controls including access, permissible use, control effectiveness and audit transparency

  • Partnering closely with partners in Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Management and Finance to jointly solve problems

  • This role interacts directly with senior executives throughout the business as clients and collaborators as well as with analytics and data teams across the organization. This person will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and developing a team of talented advanced analytics professionals.

  • This individual should have a blend of deep subject matter expertise as well as the passion and leadership needed to proactively drive improvements.

Other requirements:

  • Exposure to conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  • Understanding of relational database and big data technology (e.g., Hadoop)

  • Understanding of data management concepts such as metadata, data quality, lineage, reference data management, etc is a plus

  • Understanding of key aspects of current architectures regarding Data Integration, Metadata, Data Warehousing, Reporting & BI product suites


  • 10+ years of producing and/or overseeing related advanced analytics work

  • 8+ years people management experience, particularly in the advanced analytics space

  • Demonstrates highly proficient skills in each of the following areas: quantitative, analytics, and technical skills

  • Must have strong executive communication and presentation skills

Educational Requirement:

  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative field preferred: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computing and Information Theory, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, or Industrial / Electrical Engineering, MBA (w/ strong quantitative focus).

Professional Background:

  • Financial service and Credit Card industry experience desired, but we are open to evaluating candidates with strong analytics backgrounds from any industry.

This includes Chase digital channels (, mobile, email, SEO), "Refer-A-Friend," 3rd party marketplaces/affiliates, paid search, direct mail and on property. Additionally, this role will partner with our Co-brand team to optimize acquisition strategies across co-brand partner channels. This is a highly visible position that will work in a dynamic, fast paced, collaborative environment to develop and drive breakthrough marketing strategies to deliver profitable growth. This position will report to the Head of Card Acquisitions and lead a team of ~25 marketing professionals. Key responsibilities include: * Develop and deliver innovative growth strategies within Chase owned channels (digital and offline) - e.g. enhanced shopping experiences, personalization strategies, improved navigation, test and learn initiatives, simplified origination customer journeys * Optimize strategies within paid channels (e.g. marketplaces, paid search, paid display) to deliver growth with target segments * Lead exploration of new channels to reach new consumer segments and drive incremental growth * Set holistic cross-channel strategy to optimize channel mix and ensure effective reach for target segments * Partner with Product GM teams to develop and execute product specific marketing strategies across channels * Set prioritization of new initiatives and strategy changes across channels to ensure maximum value creation * Closely monitor the competitive landscape and leverage insights/best practices to inform channel strategy Qualifications: * 10-15 years of marketing and strategy experience - with focus on credit card and/or consumer lending products * Experience leading customer acquisition channel strategy across both digital and offline channels * Experience developing innovative growth strategies within digital channels to optimize funnel conversion * Experience leading initiatives to optimize acquisition strategies within paid channels * Strategic marketer with the ability to set broad vision and drive execution * Innovative, problem solver with experience solving complex challenges * Excellent analytical acumen and strong understanding of the financial drivers for credit card products * Excellent people leader with experience leading and developing large teams * Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior level cross-functional teams * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment * Highly effective communicator (both written and oral) with ability to influence executive audiences * Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred Jpmorgan Chase & Co.
