The BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit (BBU) creates and executes meaningful therapeutic area and product strategies that are focused on addressing the unmet needs of patients around the world. What you'll do

As Consumer Brand Director for a novel immunology biologic product, you'll play a pivotal role in translating the science and driving innovation to make a positive impact on patients' lives. This new product will be a first-in-class treatment.

In anticipation of launch, we are looking for an experienced commercial leader to help build and execute the consumer US immunology launch strategy, lead pre-launch planning, and develop a compelling long-term brand vision for a dynamic product in our biologics portfolio. You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional commercial and project teams, as well as senior leaders and collaboration partners to prepare for US launch.

In this role, you will lead creating critical commercial US launch deliverables including positioning, core creative materials and messaging, patient journey mapping, market research, segmentation, patient activation and patient access strategies. To succeed you will need to demonstrate a strong ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, lead others, problem solve, influence without authority and collaborate in both scientific and commercial contexts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of US consumer immunology launch strategy and plans in coordination with the Senior Director of Consumer marketing

  • Lead execution of consumer brand strategy with team and collaborating colleagues

  • Work closely with the professional marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across customer segments

  • Team member of the leadership team, providing input and direction to overall brand strategy, ensuring strong cohesion across all customer segments

  • Develop insight-based marketing strategy and omni-channel execution plan

  • Lead development of CRM strategy and program development

  • Responsible for leading the development of marketing key performance indicators and reporting to senior marketing leadership

  • Develop multi-channel media measurement and analytics plans for on-going channel and creative optimization

  • Lead creation of core launch creative materials

  • Manage and evaluate media campaigns across both traditional and digital mediums

  • Manage external creative agency, adhering to budget targets, and collaborate with business insights and analytics to ensure a strong evidence-based approach to support the delivery of core marketing materials

  • Develop strong alliances with Medical, Insight, Patient Access Services, Market Access and Corporate Affairs for cross-functional planning and programs

  • Demonstrate strong people management skills in coaching and development

  • Develop social media strategies and implementation across consumer segments

  • Lead Office of Prescription Drugs Promotion (OPDP) submission strategy.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business focus preferred) is required

  • Minimum of 5+ years pharmaceutical and/or consumer product goods marketing experience

  • Knowledge of Specialty Product, Biologics, Rare Disease and/or Immunology Market

  • Excellent presentation skills and leadership presence

  • Experience with collaboration, influencing without authority and working successfully with cross-functional teams & partners

  • Requires approximately 10-20 % travel

Desirable for the role

  • MBA

  • Product launch experience

  • CRM strategy experience

  • Social/ Digital marketing experience
