JobSummary:

Reporting to the Head of Regional Bank Line of Business Marketing, the Directorof Consumer Bank Marketing oversees the strategic marketing direction of 1MM+consumer and small business households. The incumbent is responsible foracquiring and deepening customer relationships across the following clientsegments: Mass Market, Priority Banking, and Small Business. The incumbent alsohas direct responsibility for fostering growth across consumer depositproducts, Small Business deposit and lending products and Digital Channeladoption. Another key function of the role is oversight of the messaging formultiple Bank-owned assets, including the branch network, customer contactthrough ATMs, statement inserts and certain landing pages within unionbank.com.Success in this role requires strong collaboration with respective line ofbusiness partners in order to understand the business needs and createmarketing plans that drive results, and are on-time and within budget.

Major Responsibilities:
50% - Marketing Plan and Partner Management:

  • Establish a strategic and day-to-day relationship with the heads of Deposit and

Payments, Small Business Lending, and Digital Banking. in order to impact overall line of businessdirection

  • Continuously refine plans quarterly to ensure they are competitive and alignand meet business needs

  • Develop and distribute senior level marketing communications to ensurestrategic and messaging alignment amongst business line leadership

  • Oversee marketing budget and work with Finance to ensure the budgeting,forecasting and in-year impacts are being accounted for on a monthly basis

Ideate and present innovative opportunities for testing and learning based oninternal efficacy assessments, competitive standpoint, and shifts in industrytrends
25% - Team Management:

  • Provide ongoing professional management and mentorship of a team of marketingprofessionals

  • Ensure high profile marketing program assignments are optimally assigned toteam members and managed to meet / exceed expectations

  • Work with individual team members to create annual performance plans andconduct mid-year and annual performance reviews

  • Partner closely with Wealth Markets to create a seamless Private Bankexperience while supporting the introduction of Wealth Markets serviceofferings to Private Banking clients

  • Drive the organization towards digital marketing in order to provide moretargeted, efficient, and relevant client messaging

  • Remain involved in development and evolution of digital space and channels toensure there are continuous opportunities to drive revenue

  • Position Marketing to be a direct contributor to the bottom line by ensuring

Retail's marketing strategies and platforms continuously evolve and remaincompetitive / best-in-class in the digital marketing landscape and be achampion for bringing new and innovative opportunities that can

  • Ensure continuous focus on enhancing the online customer experience while alsodriving the use of multi-channel marketing

  • Driveincreased revenue by creating andmeasuring effective annual marketing plans that align the needs of the customersegments and business lines

  • Workclosely with other senior marketing leaders to support a superior andconsistent customer experience

  • Partner closely with Wealth Markets to create a seamless Private Bank experience while supporting the introduction of Wealth Markets service offerings to Private Banking clients
    25% -Digital Marketing Consumer Bank Leadership:

Qualifications:

  • 15years of marketing experience, preferably within the financial servicesindustry MBA or Master's degree preferred

  • Experiencein managing a team, but also contributing at an individual level

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills required

  • Strong, decisive leadership ability with a desire and competency to influencechange

  • Analytical prowess and fluency

  • Strong presentation skills in the presence of executive management

  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed environment

  • Flexibility to adjust in an often-changing business environment

  • Organized and process-oriented; Six Sigma experience a plus
