The Operations team are now seeking a talented Consumables Assistant to join the team based in our Distribution Centre in Charlton (near North Greenwich.
The Consumables Assistant to work with the Stores Coordinator and help manage the Company's consumables store. Reporting to the Inventory Management team you will be responsible for the smooth running and the accuracy of the consumables inventory, supporting the Distribution teams with the materials they need
Reporting into the Monika Zeidani, you will be tasked with
Manage and monitor all deliveries to the warehouse
Ensure receipts are filed and logged accurately and promptly
Assign delivered product to designated areas in the warehouse or distribute to relevant departments
Ensure all pallets/consumables are labelled correctly and stored in the appropriate area
Ensure call-offs are placed on time in accordance with supplier lead-times
Manage delivery schedules in order to avoid overcrowding/overlapping
Monitor stock levels of all products and report back to the Inventory Management Team or relevant departments accordingly
Cooperate with teams across the business (Distribution, Replenishment, Marketing) to ensure their packaging requirements are met and products available for use
Maintain good housekeeping practices
Respect the customer driven focus of the company
Must be qualified to use - VNA Consumable, Electric Pallet Truck, Counter Balance
Previous experience in a stock control or similar logistics role
Fully conversant with PC based systems, including stock management systems and Microsoft Office
Numerate with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
It is essential to be able to demonstrate clear written and spoken communication skills with other business functions externally and internally
Proven ability to multi task and with exceptional organisational skills
A team player with self-confidence, assertiveness and personal motivation willing to take ownership of the role
The ability to exceed expectations for a demanding customer base
