This is a high-profile and demanding role, requiring a combination of analytical skills, thought leadership, project/ process management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. This role is designed to help Pega grow its software and services business; provide high-quality services to its clients, partners and employees; and help develop a delivery infrastructure for rapid growth. This role will be working with several high profile and complex client engagements.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Lead work efforts, execute and grow Consulting billings across designated vertical with high profile and complex clients

  • Achieve annual quota license by supporting software sales of our insert vertical.

  • Advocate during the sales process for best practice delivery approach to be followed on all Pega projects.

  • Lead the efforts to define, scope, size and propose new Pega application implementations to clients

  • Provide field feedback to the product management and engineering teams responsible for Pega applications

  • Develop and maintain deep client contacts as assigned.

  • Achieve and maintain assigned Certifications and needed credentials.

Who You Are:

You have proven experience in professional services business development, as well as experience selling or implementing adjust for vertical. You are a natural, fast-paced learner able to turn out solutions of your own initiative, and you are comfortable positioning yourself as an educator equipped to offer large accounts practical solutions to relevant industry problems. You can speak with confidence and clarity and can hold gravitas in conversations with C-suite executives or VPs of Marketing. This is a position for someone who is a goal-driven, challenge-seeking performer.

What You've Accomplished:

  • BA/BS (Business or Technical Degree preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in a professional services business development role

  • Ability to persuade and influence, using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of thoughts, plans, activities, services, and products

  • Ability to achieve role-based Pega certifications

  • Ability to complete Industry Specific Training as required

VIEW JOBS 3/26/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-24T00:00 Requisition ID : 15746 Job Description Primary Purpose: NS is seeking experienced legal counsel to fill our Assistant Deputy General Counsel position. The position focuses primarily on providing legal counsel and support to NS's commercial and management team in furtherance of the rail transportation enterprise. Advises NS business groups on commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating transportation contracts, joint use agreements, and other initiatives for the shipment of commercial products and commodities. Ensures that NS operations are fully compliant with all Federal, state and local laws related to rail transportation. This includes the U.S. Surface Transportation Board, the U.S. Department of Transportation (including the Federal Railroad Administration and the Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration), and other Federal, state or local agencies. Directs and participates in commercial litigation, including oversight of outside counsel, selection of case strategy, and drafting and review of legal filings. Principal Duties: Work with internal clients including divisions within the Law Department, marketing personnel, strategic planning personnel, and other business groups, as well as outside counsel and experts to manage and direct representation of NS before Federal, state and local agencies. Advise, draft, negotiate, and oversee complex contractual arrangements necessary for the provision of transportation services. Research, write, and edit briefs and memoranda regarding case specific issues and broader legal initiatives. Evaluate proposed legislation, regulations, and other administrative law matters as they arise, in collaboration with others to develop efficient and appropriate resolutions. Preparation and/or presentation of materials to various internal audiences regarding pending regulatory activities that have an impact on the company's rail operations. Counsel internal clients on federal antitrust requirements and application. Job-Related Experience: Minimum Level: 7 years in the legal field Preferred Level: 10+ years in the legal field Preferred Experience: * Background in commercial transactional matters * Federal or State judicial externship or clerkship experience * Experience in or with Federal government agency and/or Capitol Hill. Education: Minimum Level: Doctoral Degree (JD) Preferred Majors: Law Licenses / Certifications: Georgia Bar license or active license in another state bar to seek to waive into Georgia Bar after the commencement of employment. Additional Information Required: * Familiarity and experience drafting and handling commercial contract negotiations, including business terms, liability and indemnification. * Demonstrated experience in Federal or State regulatory practice in transportation. Highly desirable experience and knowledge of economic and/or safety regulation of the railroad industry. * Experience with regulatory enforcement or regulatory analysis. * Decision making including the ability to manage a varied case load and to participate in, or co-lead, cross-functional efforts. * Identifying and considering alternatives through the use of objective data. * Strong oral and written skills; ability to summarize complex matters into presentations, memo and action plans. Strong interpersonal skills. Self-motivated. Highly Desirable: * Demonstrated experience in Federal legislative and/or regulatory practice, particularly experience in or with representation before the U.S. Department of Transportation (e.g., Federal Railroad Administration or Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, etc.) or the U.S. Surface Transportation Board, and the U.S. Congress. * Other Federal economic regulatory experience will be considered. * Familiarity with federal antitrust laws and application in corporate environment.
