Job Purpose:

This hands-on role will add thought and technical leadership to the existing Security organization with a concentration in the Azure, Active Directory, Office365 and Windows systems.

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Serve as a security subject matter expert with respect to Windows Servers/Clients, Office365, Azure, Active Directory and related technologies.

Review and strengthen the security posture of associated with Windows Servers/Clients, Cloud and other platforms within the environment.

Providing input on selection, deploying, enhancing and/or supporting technical and non-technical security controls throughout the enterprise.

Enhance the current controls and oversight of the various cloud environments

Utilize strong technical and analytical skills to further advance the security of the organization.

Expand the use of automation across the environment and across multiple technology platforms.

Utilize scripts and open source tools to detect and remediate potential security gaps within the environment

Analyze information to identify capability gaps in the organizations security posture

Determine and develop/grow controls to

o Enhance the security of the environment

o Validate the efficacy of controls

o Address new threats and risks.

Assist with the development and maintenance of RELX and LexisNexis IT security policies and standards.

Provide input and feedback into the organizations security program and risk management.

Assist in defining and publishes key performance indicators measuring the effectiveness of the information security program.

Bachelor Degree or equivalent critical thinking experience

Preferred Certifications: One or more of the following certification, industry designations or equivalent

o Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP, SANS, ISACA

5 years of experience in Active Directory administration/engineering.

Experience in Office 365 and Azure cloud security including architecture/engineering roles responsible for designing and deploying secure solutions

Strong preference for Azure administration/security experience

Strong scripting/programming and data manipulation experience in multiple platforms.(PowerShell, Python, etc).

Strong infrastructure security knowledge of common O/S and computing environments including Active Directory, Azure and other cloud compute environments.

Strong analytical skills and cross functional knowledge across multiple security, platform and other infrastructure disciplines

Strong network understanding of major TCP/IP application protocols (i.e.HTTP, SMTP, LDAP,SSH, SYSLOG, DHCP, etc)

A broad and deep understanding of large corporate infrastructures.

The ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment of shifting priorities.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical, management and senior leadership

Strong initiative and the ability to excel with minimal supervision.

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
