Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Community Forensic Partnership Division (CONREP) Senior Psychologist Supervisor (Assistant Chief Psychologist), the Consulting Psychologist is responsible for providing oversight and consultation to the SVP CONREP program (contractor) as well as monitoring the performance of the program, offering recommendations to ensure effective operation, and assisting with client pre-placement tasks including community placement. The incumbent will also be responsible for policy development and maintenance, providing consultation on court reports, and conducting quarterly site visits to the program. The incumbent will assist the SVP CONREP Assistant Chief Psychologist with identifying and addressing programmatic issues and operational needs in order to effectively implement and support the program and successful community placement, with the ultimate goal of community safety. Duties will include providing support for the planning, implementation, and oversight of SVP CONREP services, housing committee meetings, and site visits. Statewide travel is required.

Working Conditions
The work hours for this position will be set sometime between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
The majority of the essential functions of this position may be performed via telework and/or flexible scheduling in accordance with DSH PD 5338. Although the ability may be granted, incumbent must be available to report in-person for mandated trainings and essential meetings as requested by Management to any of the DSH six locations or a location statewide.
Incumbent will have up to 25% travel requirements.
This position is NOT eligible for Safety Retirement.

This is a Sacramento-based position that may work remotely throughout California. Incumbent may be asked to go onsite to one of DSH's six locations if needed and with prior notice.
