Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist

Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope.

Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work.

Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

• 80% Travel required nationally.

• Telecommuting permitted.

• Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

• Designing and developing applications using Java, Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Spring Boot, and Microservices technologies to meet functional needs for software applications;

• Developing and launching automation solutions using Selenium, TestNG and Unit Testing;

• Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions using REST APIs with JAX-RS implementation, AngularJS, Typescript, Spring Object Relational Mapping (ORM) Hibernate, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSS) and Oracle methodologies across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architectures;

• Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment, utilizing build tool Gradle or Maven, JUnit, Mockito, Jenkins, AWS Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) instance, and Splunk;

• Performing software development in Spring Tool Suite, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio (VS) Code development environments and web service testing using Postman, SoapUI and Automation;

• Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing Confluence, Jira, Docker, Sonar, Blackduck, JUnit, RabbitMQ, and JMockit;

• Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development life cycle (SDLC), utilizing HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Typescript, and Java Server Pages (JSP); and

• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Jira and Confluence dashboard for Agile Scrum and participating in all the Agile ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Product demonstration, and Team retrospectives.
