The Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is seeking a Market Research Analyst who will be charged with developing, maintaining, and communicating strategic intelligence on the RMD customers, competitors, and environment across several market segments.
The lead will be responsible for collaborating internally with functions and mission areas, to create an analysis based assessment of the strategies being followed by our customers and competitors and to partner across the strategy organization to maintain the market opportunity dataset. The position will report to the Marketing Research Sr Manager within the Strategy and Business Transformation organization.
The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to build the Market Research function while supporting the standup of the overall RMD Strategy organization.
This position can be located at any RMD facility.
Develop and maintain detailed strategic competitive intelligence on major customers and competitors
Perform analyses in the areas of product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size, penetration, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations.
Build market opportunity datasets in partnership with the Strategy and Analytics leads
Partner with engineering to monitor key technologies across each mission space
Benchmark overall RMD competitiveness across segments
Partner with strategy leads to conduct detailed market assessments
B.S. in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related subject
At least 8 years of experience with demonstrated progression through increasing levels of responsibility
Experience with primary and secondary research methodologies
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Market Research tools
Experience with competitive intelligence or strategy
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience working new business captures
PM Level 6 Certification
A solid knowledge of executive level communication
Experience driving an organization to make challenging decisions.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. security clearance within one year of employment.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
