Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sparkhound's Business Transformation practices includes resources and projects focused in the following areas:

  • Project Management

  • Program Management

  • Digital Transformation

  • Business Consulting

  • Business Analyst

  • CIO as a Service

The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for consistent and profitable revenue growth in the Business Transformation Practice via the following three (3) areas of focus:

  • Revenue Growth

  • Develop long-term growth and profitability strategy for the Business Transformation Practice including mission, points of view, offerings, competitor analysis and pricing

  • Drive revenue and profitability for the Practice, create opportunities for recurring revenue

  • Envision/cross sell across all regions and practices

  • Collaborate with sales team resources to advance or close sales opportunities across all regions

  • Lead clients in strategic "big picture" discussion (e.g. "What are you trying to accomplish? vs. technology building/implementation)

  • Foster innovation by proposing new approaches, methods or technologies

  • Profitability

  • Develop, review and approve all SOWs with the General Managers and Practice Directors to ensure a mutual understanding of expectations, resource allocation and profitability

  • Serve as a member of the Project Close-Out Board to identify successes and opportunities for improvement

  • Add to"Sparkhound Intellectual Property' for the Practice

  • Practice Leadership(Resourcing, Maturity, Quality Delivery)

  • Manage Practice Directors and hold accountable for quality delivery in project engagements (on time, on budget, identification of up-sell opportunities, etc.)

  • Develop practice assets such as

  • Mission (e.g. answer the questions "How does my practice benefit a client?")

  • Points of View

  • Team capabilities, solution accelerators, offerings, opportunities for recurring revenue

  • Systematically plan the use of current and future resources to achieve optimum profitability

  • Lead, coach and mentor team members to drive an integrated business approach, provides opportunities for team members to learn and grow; work with HR to build a pipeline of candidates, contractors and partners

  • Manage P&L

Other Duties

  • Travels 50-60%

  • Maintain 10-25% billable utilization as determined by the practice and ELT (Executive Leadership Team

  • Supports and lives the Sparkhound culture

Primary Qualifications

Education

  • Four-year degree (or work experience equivalent)

Work Experience

  • 14+ years of experience in project strategy and implementation, Project Management and/or Program Management, Digital Transformation.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a consulting/integrated business focused environment

Skills

  • Exhibits an advanced level of knowledge in business process design and optimization, organizational effectiveness, and digital transformation

  • Experience owning, executing, and managing projects

  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen

  • Possesses strong business development skills

  • Can inspire confidence; engaging people skills

  • Ability to adapt to change

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

You will provide subject matter expertise on a broad range of industry relevant challenges and the ERP systems that enable their solutions. You will also be an advocate for adherence to standard capabilities and drive alignment across business units and geographies. You will communicate with client stakeholders to understand emerging business needs and develop solutions to address them. You also will determine implementation strategies while maintaining insight to applicable industry best practices, trends, and technology capabilities. Using an agile thinking approach across multiple locations in North America, you will drive the core tenets of business transformation, including: Maintaining the stability of the ERP environment Achieving user adoption of the new system Supporting local users Maintaining third-party business applications and related interfaces Offering application support solutions As a business transformation expert, you will directly partner with the client functional and technical leaders and several key solution delivery partners (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics). Day to Day job Duties: As a Solutions Professional, you will provide industry and solution expertise with deep knowledge on managing the design, configuration and development activities. Solution Expert(s) will: * Develop and manage the project plan * Participate in the deliverable materials reviews as needed * Understand the existing environment (technical, cultural, business) * Provide data migration and validation support * Manage the solution testing and validation * Ensure the solution meets the business needs * Provide resource support and forecast * Provide timely functional and technical solution status updates to C&SI leadership * Drive necessary design decisions for the client * Ensure knowledge transfer is effective during the Transition Phase: As a Services Professional, you will provide the services specified in the SOW.
