As a member of our Strategy team, you'll have the opportunity to advise clients on their most pressing needs related to corporate strategy, R&D strategy and portfolio planning, commercial and lifecycle management, and LM&A. As a strong performer with prior experience in the diagnostics and research tools arena, you'll be an integral part of growing our diagnostics business

Qualifications:

Current permanent U.S. work authorization required

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or other relevant advance degree preferred

  • Minimum of five years' experience; managing complex team-based engagements in a life sciences industry setting or consulting environment

  • Industry knowledge related to diagnostics and research tools required, additional breadth of expertise across pharmaceutical and biotech is preferred

  • Strong analytics knowledge and understanding; experience overseeing analysis and driving insights

  • Superior client relationship management skills, and project management experience (billing, status reports, feedback)

This position is available in New York, NY; Boston, MA; or San Francisco, CA

Brief Summary of Role Appirio is looking for an experienced Healthcare and Life Sciences Sr. Product Manager who is passionate about building products for the HLS industry leveraging the Salesforce ecosystem. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy. Based on customer, market, and partner needs the HLS Product Manager will identify innovative and differentiated products for Appirio to bring to market. They will ensure solutions are accurately positioned in the market (customers, prospects, partners, analysts) and with Appirio (sales, delivery). Ultimately drive pipeline bookings, and revenue through successful product creation. Responsibilities 1. Build the right product * Maintain a deep understanding of Healthcare industry, define market opportunity, identify whitespace and product gaps to generate new ideas for product development. * Collaborate with key customers and prospects to understand solution needs, pains & gaps to create unique value-added solutions * Closely interface with channel partner and vertical industry teams to understand competing solutions and desired differentiators * Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners * Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes 2. Position * Matching technologies to customer problems - products to solutions * Explaining products, features and capabilities in terms that customers understand * Highlighting the differentiation of the company and products in a way that is meaningful and valuable to customers * Develop product pricing and positioning strategies 3. Prioritize, Build, Evolve the Product * Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact * Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources * Drive product launches including working with marketing team, executives, and other product management team members * Lead the charge to establish and optimize best-in-class product development processes. 4. Product Launch and Sales Enablement * Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding * Represent the company by visiting customers and partners to solicit feedback on company products and services * Pre-sales & Sales enablement * Product demonstrations 5. GTM & Ongoing Success * Go to market strategy and marketing campaign guidance for MarCom * Monitoring and coaching Sales, working directly with customers * Tracking sales & pipeline * Using win/ losses as guidance for future product vision * Customer success tracking and feedback Education and Required Experience * Minimum of 8 years total Salesforce experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience in product management for a B2B software or technology company, with proven ability to showcase consistently strong, measurable results * Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Healthcare industry and the ability to learn about new sub-verticals. * Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive and resourceful. Someone who thinks on their feet, is comfortable with change and enjoys problem solving. * Must have excellent teamwork, organizational and multitasking skills. * Exceptional verbal/written communications and presentation skills, with experience presenting to and interacting with the C-suite. * Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management * Experience building products on the Salesforce.com platform, * Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle * Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies * Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization * MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred * Located and able to work in the U.S. from a home office and able to travel up to 25-50% * For U.S. only.
