Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Manage software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments for information technology projects as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization in relation to information technology projects, develop strategies to increase the company's profitability, and design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth.

Manage day-to-day interactions for information technology projects with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients. Lead aspects of the proposal development process and contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence.

  • 50% Travel required nationally

  • Telecommuting permitted

  • Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive related work experience. Position requires three (3) years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Utilizing Agile methodology to manage software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Financial Services and Insurance (FSI) industries;

  • Participating in all phases of Agile and Waterfall project delivery and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Insurance Core Systems and Digital Transformations platforms for enterprise-level clients;

  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state/to-be systems, processes and environments, utilizing Guidewire InsuranceSuite, FileNet, Microsoft (MS) Teams, and SharePoint, using Agile methodology;

  • Utilizing Insurance Core System Transformations, including Java, FileNet, Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Guidewire rating engine and Digital Portals to manage the design and development of project solutions;

  • Reviewing codes and providing recommendations for solution implementation, utilizing static code analysis tools, including SurePath, SonarQube, Java, and Guidewire coding best practices, algorithms, and design pattern principles;

  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, creating Epics and Story Cards, and translating requirements into project designs, using Rally, Kanban, Jira, and Agile methodologies;

  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders utilizing Gantt Charts, MS Office Suite, Jira, Rally, and HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); and

  • Coordinating the project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies and Jira, Rally, Scaled Agile Functionality (SAFe) PI Planning, Kanban, Confluence, and ALM.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week;
